It was yet another "Sizzling CooKer" @ Kane County Flea Market in Illinois this past Saturday!!! Temperatures in the low 90's - high humidity - but at least it was a bit over-cast most of the time... SHaBBy ShoPPing for me wasn't the best... I JUST KNOW IT WAS THE HEAT!!! As I mentally review yesterday's shopping - there were "3" things I was TOTALLY OUT OF MY MIND passing up!!!
I came home with a lot of crusty... rusty... metal finds... Adorned with just the right "FALL ITEMS" they'll make such AwEsoMe Displays to cozy up your home for Fall!!!
I was TOTALLY VAMPING over this
Vintage Chandelier!!! ~ BeSt !*!*!
Of course it was in Kathy's Booth!!!
I did get a pic of one of the items I passed up...
Soooo wish I had bought it!!! PeRfeCtLy ChiPPy...
What was I thinking??? -
Lots of SHaBBy-Painted Furniture at the Flea... Many a vendor went all out with inspiring shabby displays...
Polly "Counting Your Blessings" - went ALL-OUT with her displays - even the creative fancy light fixtures were hung... Just remember - by the time these dealers get unloaded - it's only a matter of about 2 hours or less of display time before the crowd gets let in!!! THEY WORK FAST!!!
Shabby Sighting in Sandy & Joe's Booth...
I couldn't set up at a show that only gives you a couple of hours set up! That would make me crazy! You did find some great stuff!

I love the Kane County Flea Market!! I used to live in Elgin IL so we would go at least a couple of times during the season. Now we are in Texas and I haven't found anything quite like it yet!
ReplyDeleteCan't believe you bypassed that chandelier! Knowing how much you love old chandeliers I bet you were bummed you didn't buy it. We were in Petaluma CA again last week and there were antique shops everywhere. Lots of barn sales signs, lots of chippy looking furniture outside on display near outdoor cafes. I thought about you and wished you were there. Also, organic veggie & fruit stands everywhere. It's cherry & berry season in CA so those stands were overflowing. ~ Amy
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing flea market...we have NOTHING like that here ;o(
