**BeSt ChiPPy!-SHaBBy! SaLes!*!*! Grayslake Illinois Flea Market November 2010

Grayslake Flea Market - "Just FaB" ChiPPy!-SHaBBy! SaLes... This was the first time I "set-up" as a vendor to sell at Grayslake Flea Market in Illinois...  Not only were sales good ~ but I just loved everything about it!*!*!  It worked out quite well for me with dealer "set-up" the night before...   My booth location was just perfect - with WONDERFUL NEIGHBORS who also "displayed" their wares...

"Behind the scenes"...  You really learn to have an appreciation for what dealers go through show after show "loading... unloading"... WHAT A WORK-OUT!*!*!  I was over-joyed to learn that this particular show had a variety of CARTS for our use...

My booth space was quite large, and with my "smaller-sized" vehicle, it was quite a challenge to fill it all...

The Industrial Laundry Cart & Shabby Metal Trunk are Still Available...  I only had them For SaLe on Saturday...  "AGain, small vehicle Issues required me to take them home Saturday Night...  I'm now saving then for a Show Closer to Home...  AND I'm working on a BIGGER MOBILE COME SPRING!!!

This OWL was just toooo cute!!!

Working on the set-up...

I was surprised this pair of "Golden Doves" did not sell...  What a Fab Centerpiece for a table or buffet... I'll be bringing these pretties to my next show - this weekend in MORRIS, ILLINOIS

The green bench and planter sold right away...

ChiPPy!-SHaBBy! Booth, full view from across the isle...

Every Show has it's casualties...  When I arrived in the morning, this lovely "cast-iron" piece of mine had fallen over and a big corner broke off...  It still SOLD!!!  I'm sure she'll easily camouflage it with some greens on the corner...  Another casualty - broke off the brass arm of a chandelier after a quick "step-on-the-brakes"...  To the repair shop it goes!!!

This shabby fluffy bird "flew it's roost" later on in the show and returned to a "birdcage"...

I bought this industrial chair at the show...  I may end up keeping it...  AwEsoMe!!!

Although this turkey centerpiece was not very old, I thought it would make a great display piece for the THANKSGIVING DESSERT TABLE!!! ~ Still Available - bringing to the 3 French Hens Show this weekend...

Diane was my neighbor to the east...  Wish I had gotten  pics of her booth when it was finally all set up - OVER-THE-TOP AmAziNg!!!  Lots of industrial with just the right holiday adornments...

I was just thrilled to "see" who my neighbors were to the south!!!  Mother and daughter team - Lenni & Ericka...  I first spotted then selling at Elkhorn this past fall..  Just recently they have started a blog:
AND - check out pics of their booth on my site from Elkhorn!!!

This young couple from Indiana do such a wonderful job!!!  I first discovered them at Kane County Flea Market this past summer...  They were located within eye-site of my booth at Grayslake this weekend...  "Hot House Market" (click for blog) (sorry for the blurry pic - way toooo much coffee???)

Georgeann had such a sweet vignette set up...

YES!!! ~ These were FRESH HoLiDay Greens!!!

A BIG THANK YOU  to all the wonderful customers who shopped my shabbies or just came by for a look...  It was my pleasure...   I'LL BE BACK AT GRAYSLAKE IN JANUARY 2011 - SAME BOOTH LOCATION...
I'm now off to shop for "fussy little shabby adornments" for this weekend's upcoming "3 French Hens Show"...
Hope to see you there!*!*

  7. Love your Architectural Salvage items *swooning*... and imperfections attract me to pieces also... so the occassional mishap to a piece doesn't always detract, it just tends to give it more "character" and perhaps more of an interesting story... glad this was such a successful show... the displays were absolutely gorgeous.
