A VERY "O*F*F" Selling Weekend at The Grayslake Flea Market...

The Crowd NEVER CAME...

   What an "O*F*F" Weekend it was for Selling SHaBBies at Grayslake's Monthly Flea Market in Illinois!!!!!!!!!!  2 hours after the doors opened on Saturday ~ it looked like a "ghost-town"!!!  Sunday drew a much better crowd, but honestly ~ I came home with quite a full load!!!

BACK TO GRAYSLAKE ~ Fall through Winter...

Now that Summer is winding down, I've headed back to GRAYSLAKE ANTIQUE MARKET, in Illinois, Selling my ChiPPy!-SHaBBy! F*I*N*D*S HERE -  FALL through WINTER...

 Lots of "hauling" at this show...

  You can't just pull your car up to your booth

 like at outdoor venues...

During set-up, one of my most favorite pieces SOLD...

It was "bittersweet" to see it go...

S*P*R*I*N*G was in-the-air @ GRAYSLAKE FLEA...

Here in the Midwest, "WEATHER" - is always a concern when selling at a Antique/Flea Event - even if it's mostly indoors...  This past weekend at the Flea - GRAYSLAKE, ILLINOIS, WE COULDN'T HAVE ASKED FOR BETTER WEATHER - **Just GoRgeOuS** - high 60's & Sunny!*!*!  Needless to say, this combo yielded a GREAT TURNOUT, & they were BUYING...  Lot's of ViNtaGE GARDEN was showcased in many a booth ~ including mine!!! 

 I really worked-it this past weekend,

not being able to load up the van till Friday Morning... 

  • Unloading at the Fairgrounds just hours later...

  • Setting up till 8 pm on Friday Night...

  • 2 days of SeLLiNg... 

  • Packing it up...

  • 6 Trips back & forth -OMG!*!*!

EVERYONE WANTED IT!!! - INCLUDING ME!!!  I just LoVe how my SPRINGTIME Display turned out!*!*!  The vignette kept changing  - as I SOLD "smalls" from inside the cage.

I just may KEEP this FiNd - Especially AFTER seeing an inspirational pic on PINTEREST -collage of different size cages displayed on a porch wall!!! ~ Just FaB!*!*!  It looked sooooo Anthro!*!*!

After "6-Trips" back and forth from Wisconisn to Illinois...

After "Hauling, Loading-In, Unpacking, Displaying, & Adorning...

I'm sad to say that  ~ My ChiPPy!-SHaBBy! Sales werent' the best THIS MONTH...  As a dealer we all know this possibility exists...  The Show Attendance was a bit down ~ but dealers booths around me seemed to be thinning out as the weekend moved on...  I did however ENJOY SHOPPING THE SHOW MYSELF - and found some FaB ViNtaGe SHaBBies for other upcoming shows!*!*!
