MAXWELL STREET FLEA - Cedarburg, WI

This past Memorial HoLiDay Weekend, I once again took a "Booth Space" Selling My ChiPPy!-SHaBBy! ViNtaGe F*I*N*D*S at our local CEDARBURG'S MAXWELL STREET FLEA MARKET...   With rain in the forecast, Saturday's Set-Up was a little bit "iffy"~ Sooo I opted for a 4 a.m. set up on Sunday Morning...   I LoVe starting off my day  with the BiRdies Sweetest Songs!*!*!  (Do click on pics to enlarge...)

 The weather held nicely ALL DAY SUNDAY...  
The Crowds were definitely there ~ but the many furniture pieces I brought - were just not selling, nor were my vintage chandeliers...  Years past they sold like "hot-cakes" in May...  **SMALL SHaBBies** and ViNtaGe Garden Container SaLes were strong...

Sooooo THaNkFuL for Another FaB S*A*L*E...

This past Saturday, was my second ChiPPy!-SHaBBy! Home S*A*L*E of the 2012 Season...  With just FaBuLous Weather ~ we moved out to the RoadSide... (Click on pics to enlarge) 

 Just minutes before we opened...

Just a couple days before the SaLe ~ I was just thrilled that our local News Graphic Paper featured an Over-The-Top FaB Article about my **ChiPPy SHaBBy FiNdS**  - THANK YOU MARIA - for spreading the word and making this happen!!!

  I expanded the selling area - displaying SHaBBies on the lawn as well ~  Anticipating extra traffic from the Newspaper Article...

 ViNtaGe Tole Leaves...

Normally I'm a purist when it comes to a ChiPPy SHaBBy Patina...  HOWEVER, this particular vintage piece was so well "painted over" retaining hint's of it's natural rusty patina...  I just had to keep it!*!*!

In between this and that, we FINALLY GOT THE HEADBOARD WALL CREATION UP - in our GUEST BEDROOM!*!*!  

This recently acquired SHaBBy Tole Piece was

 the PeRfeCT Adornment!*!*!

I LoVe it's dimensional quality...

The HEADBOARD WALL came out "even better"

 than I had envisioned!*!*!

S*P*R*I*N*G was in-the-air @ GRAYSLAKE FLEA...

Here in the Midwest, "WEATHER" - is always a concern when selling at a Antique/Flea Event - even if it's mostly indoors...  This past weekend at the Flea - GRAYSLAKE, ILLINOIS, WE COULDN'T HAVE ASKED FOR BETTER WEATHER - **Just GoRgeOuS** - high 60's & Sunny!*!*!  Needless to say, this combo yielded a GREAT TURNOUT, & they were BUYING...  Lot's of ViNtaGE GARDEN was showcased in many a booth ~ including mine!!! 

 I really worked-it this past weekend,

not being able to load up the van till Friday Morning... 

  • Unloading at the Fairgrounds just hours later...

  • Setting up till 8 pm on Friday Night...

  • 2 days of SeLLiNg... 

  • Packing it up...

  • 6 Trips back & forth -OMG!*!*!

Although the BirdCage did not sell,

EVERYONE WANTED IT!!! - INCLUDING ME!!!  I just LoVe how my SPRINGTIME Display turned out!*!*!  The vignette kept changing  - as I SOLD "smalls" from inside the cage.

I just may KEEP this FiNd - Especially AFTER seeing an inspirational pic on PINTEREST -collage of different size cages displayed on a porch wall!!! ~ Just FaB!*!*!  It looked sooooo Anthro!*!*!

ChiPPy... SHaBBy... Crusty... Rusty... TOLE CANDELABRA!*!*!

Some months ago I picked up a darling ViNtaGe Tole Chandelier that no longer was electrified...  Although it wasn't a "top quality" tole light fixture, I was drawn to it's lovely "ORANGE FLOWERS" & Crusty/Rusty PaTiNa...  It easily sets/rests on a surface all by itself, not needing to be hung...  Immediately I thought CANDELABRA TABLE CENTERPIECE!*!*! 

Resting on a table, the center just needed something...  I added an Ivy Plant - "just perfect"!!!

 I picked up these sweet little orange metal flowers early-on in the season...  PeRfecT "go-with" for this table centerpiece...

OMG!*!*!  Despite the "worst weather" for April ~ Die-Hard SHaBBy ShoPPers Flocked to my 1st MONTLY RoadSide Sale of the 2011 Season!!!  With temperatures in the 30's... Rain-Soaked Roads... Light Rain & Wind come late morning - My ChiPPy!-SHaBBy! ViNtaGe Finds "Were Flying Out The Re-Routed Sheltered Location IN-THE-GARAGE"!!! A Million and One ThAnk Yous ~ChiPPy!-SHaBBy! ShoPPers!*!*!   I Soooooo Appreciate YOUR Business!*!*!

This was one of my FaVoRiTE Vignettes...  I SOLD a lot of "Display Props" that I've had for years" ~ hoping to "Re-Fresh My Stock" with new/old vintage finds this 2011 season...

 As you can see ~ a lot SOLD in this Garden Area of sort...

 My sweet little "Bambi" NOW has a new home...  I made sure to hug her "goodbye" AND feel better knowing that she'll be happy in a grassy area near a creek...  Bambi was from my personal collection...  At Christmas Time she greeted guests outside by the front door, with a big green wreath on her!!!

 I pulled some watering cans from my personal collection For Sale...

Dave has a weakness for Chandeliers/ViNtaGe Tole - as much as I do!!!

 If there was ONE PIECE I was "On-The-Fence" about selling ~ it was this PeRfeCtLy Chippy Window Frame without glass...  I haven't had it very long - LOVED IT SO!!!!!  Of Course it SOLD!

 These ShaBBy ShoPPers walked away with MORE than you see right here!!!
