ViNtaGe Barbola BaSKeTs!*!*!

One of my FaVoRite Baskets!*!*!

LoVe the "Chunky Barbola Flowers & Leaves"...

What is "B*A*R*B*O*L*A" ???

BARBOLA is an applied decorative trim ~ usually found in decorative shapes of Flower Garlands and Swags, but not limited to...  It's composition is "Gesso-Based" made up of molded chalk/plaster and then some...   It is found on ViNtaGe  BASKETS,  Mirror, and Picture FRAMES...

With the nature of the material, time and elements - cause it to naturally shrink ~ producing a FaB Crackle Appearance on Painted Pieces ~ along with "ChiPPy Piece-Loss Imperfections"... Finding an item with it's Original Old Colored Paint on the Garland Flowers, will definitely drive up the price...
