**ViNtaGe** Mercury Glass Globe Shade ~ Re-Purposed!*!*!

It's now time for me to start "Fussing-Up" ~ My-Own-Home for the HoLiDays!*!*!  I've started the "nesting process" for the long winter season ahead, - sorting, packing, & rearranging all my SHaBBies from this past Season...  I'm almost always rewarded by coming across something I had long forgotten about...  Such was the case as I came across a FaB ViNtaGe Find that I netted from the Iowa Junk Gypsies...  When I spotted this time-worn ViNtaGe Mercury Glass Globe Shade, I had a pretty good idea what my plans were for it...

I have the large globe flipped over ~ resting on a vintage plateau mirror...

A side view of the globe reveals
a much desired silver loss patina...  Adding a candle in a glass holder, most certainly will enhance this time~worn patina...

I added some springs of "G*R*E*E*N*S from our garden, along with a sweet BiRdiE Adornment, painted silver acorns & leaves...

A unique, one-of-a-kind re-purposed F*I*N*D,
not only for the HoLiDay Season, but long into January as well...

  1. Looks great, wish I could find a glass globe around here! I have a plateau mirror just like yours...

Happy Nesting...I'm seeing the squirrels doing the same thing around here... :) hehe

  2. What a wonderful look. I just love those easy projects that totally transform a piece into something spectacular and you didn't have to strip, sand, paint or stain it!
I loved the hutch in your mirror reflection! Everything looks so beautiful!

  3. This is so very pretty! And such a unique combination. I love your style!

  4. I love that look Jeanine. Beautiful patina on both pieces, and the arrangement is so pretty.

  5. I love you light shade trasformation!

  6. It amazies me what we can do for pretty now days . I know a few years ago everything we are doing today we would have thought it was junk in our house and wouldn't bring it in

    very pretty

  7. Thanks for the mention! Hope we see you this weekend!
