THaNk YoU!!! ~ THaNk YoU!!! ~ THaNk YoU!!! to ALL of you who came out to enjoy this past weekend's Flea Market in Grayslake Illinois...  The Sunny Dry Winter Weather really drew the crowd!!!  There were times when my booth was sooooo packed - that I got well behind in wrapping up purchases!!! ~ YES - "A Seller's Dream"...

Center window & table SOLD ~ just minutes before the show opened, to an "early-buy-in- customer"...  The table was one I've had for a long time and finally decided to part with...

**ChiPPy!-SHaBBy!** Mink-Trimmed ICE SKATES!*!*!

OMG!*!*!  REAL "MINK-TRIMMED" Ice SKaTes!!!  I've only come across a couple pairs like this in all my years of antique shopping!!!  I've now SOLD both "after" having enjoyed them for a season or two...  This vignette was on our front porch entry a couple years ago...  The real dusting of snow made it "PeRfeCtLy SHaBBy"!!!

Our Wisconsin Weekend Winter Storm has begun...  Living so close to Lake Michigan, there's a slim chance it may travel more NORTH of Us...  Time will tell...  In the meantime, fridge is well-stocked & "Pot Roast" on the menu...

**ChiPPy!-SHaBBy!** ViNtaGe TURKEY VIGNETTE!*!*!

Thanksgiving Holiday Decorations always seem to be few and far between with just a little over 3 weeks between Halloween ending and Christmas decorating beginning...  At home - early November just seems way tooooo soon to "put out the Christmas Bling"!!!  Thanksgiving is one of my FaVoRite Holidays and as soon as November 1st rolls around ~ up goes my "ViNtaGe Turkey Collection"!*!*!  

"Just FaB" Old Turkey Boxes!*!*!  One of the boxes is from a town in Wisconsin not too far from us!!!  I purchased both of them at Antique Shops over the years...

 This great old antique platter has advertising on it!!! ~ Probably a "Furniture Store" give away with purchase...

This Old Concrete Turkey Planter has acquired the Best Old natural time~worn Chippy paint PaTiNa!*!*!

This old rusty... crusty... green metal stand holds many a ~ vintage paper mache, wax candle,  & ceramic turkey...

The BIG TURKEY was probably from a farm that Sold Turkey Birds... - BeSt!*!*!

Full View ~ The Vintage Turkey Vignette could still use a bit of "tweaking" ~ but good enough for now...

**ViNtaGe Halloween GURLEY CANDLES**

OMG!*!*! ~ "It's a bit NiPPy this MoRniNg!!!  - Somewhat "BITTERSWEET" - knowing that before long we'll be shut-in for the LONG Winter Season, here in Wisconsin...  HOWEVER, I'm REALLY looking forward to hauling out some serious ViNtaGe Halloween Collectibles!*!*!  Time to say "Bye-Bye" Early FAll Vignette & onto ViNtaGe HaLLoween!*!*!  Here are a few pics of how I displayed my collection of ViNtaGe Gurley Halloween Candles in years prior ~ ThE BeSt!*!*!  Watch for pics later in the week to see what develops THIS YEAR...

I've been collecting these ViNtaGe Gurley Candles for many years...  I believe they first came out  around the 1940's...  I only collect the ones that have the original cardboard on the bottom with price sticker...

 

 

 

 This was my display LAST YEAR...  The cabinet was from the RED CHAIR ANTIQUES, in Peterborough, New Hampshire...

 

 

 

 Close-Up...  At one time I had seen the Witch w/Cauldron (in the center) - go for over $100. on Ebay...  I was lucky enough to find mine for $5.00 @ a Flea Market, in the original box...  This particular one is not as old as the others...

 

 

 

I popped-in (middle center) a very fragile vintage paper mache tree that I dearly love...

 

And lastly...  Sometime this week - It's "Bye-Bye" Early Fall Vignette...  This is my MOST FaVoRiTe Vignette I've recently done...  Time for more creations with Blogger InSpiRaTioN!*!*!
