I've REALLY been buying quite well lately - not only finding SHaBBies for my UpComing Shows & SaLes - but also for myself!*!*! I REALLY think it's due to the unseasonably warm weather - encouraging people to rummage around in their GaRaGes... Basements... Attics... - with this EARLY Selling Season in mind...
Here is yet ANOTHER Over-The-Top,
Just FaB **KEEPER** for my personal
ChiPPy!-SHaBBy! Collection...
** My Number One Weakness **
in the "ChiPPy!-SHaBBy!" Category is
ViNtage Tole with Birdies & Patina...
(click on pics to enlarge...)
It doesn't get any better than this!*!*!
ViNtaGe...
Toleware...
Natural time-worn PaTiNa...
Fab Color...
Great Form...
Birdie...
Cherry Motif - Reminding me of DOOR COUNTY...
Useful - Candelabra
It's a "Pair"
** Just Sweet **
*****
Enjoy YOUR Weekend...
I'll be working on my "SHaBBieS"
and of course I'll squeeze a little
"SHaBBy-ShoPPing" in between...

Guest Bedroom RE-DO... Work-In-Progress!*!*!
I'm not anywhere "near-done" - but I just had to share some P*O*S*S*I*B*I*L*I*T*Y Pics with you... It ALL STARTED in January - when I picked up a Rusty-Arched Fence-Like piece of SaLVaGe from Jan of *Gracie's Cottage*... Immediately my mind went - HEADBOARD!?!?!
•I LoVe W*H*I*T*E...
•I LoVe O*R*A*N*G*E...
•I LoVe C*H*I*P*P*Y Furniture...
•I LoVe Things With P*A*T*I*N*A...
•AND Just Recently - am acquiring a taste for "mixing-in" just a bit of "Darker" -woods/texture...
•I LoVe W*H*I*T*E...
•I LoVe O*R*A*N*G*E...

This table is a "Recent Find" - last weekend to be exact -
at Grayslake, from Rhubarb Reign...
Sandy & Joe bought this - WITH ME IN MIND!*!*!
SHaBBy-Style ViNtaGe TABLE I love it's form & patina...
With just about everything in the room -
pulled away from the walls as I work, -
BY ACCIDENT - I set the TABLE in the corner... OMG!!! - I LoVe when stuff like this happens!!! For the last 7 years I've had a large chippy white garden chair there...
I knew the area now needed a light fixture -
Sooooo I pulled this ViNtaGe Tole Chandelier from my loft upstairs...
Can't wait to get it hung!*!*! What a GREAT Pop-Of-Orange...
Lots of time-worn "Paint Crazing" & layers of beige/grey/white poking through...
The ViNtaGe GaRden Chair was also in my office loft...
Soooo functional here...
Although there's some slight evidence of "power tool sanding" -
I still LoVe It - It's a FaB Piece!!!
I found these AwEsOMe
"Bo-Ho Style" Shams at Anthropologie...
I like using *All-White* Bed Linens, -
just changing out Shams Seasonally -
yielding a QUICK/INEXPENSIVE Freshened Look...
I think these will look FaB against the **Rusty Headboard** -
really bringing it together!!!
What a FaB Sweet Adornment!*!*!
Purchased from "Paper Patty" - at Kane last month...
Remember this "Killer-Piece"
- that left me weak-in-the-knees...
I think it's going to work out perfectly, on the wall, next to the bed, possibly with this chandelier...
I have a Stash of Chandeliers to pick from - if I need more B*L*I*N*G impact!!!
I'm considering displaying these Old Textured Wicker Suitcases
on Top of the Hutch that houses my White Matte Pottery...
I'm currently painting slats of wood to back
this Rusty Architectural Fragment/Headboard...
These Birdie cut-outs are going to get a slathering of rough plaster & paint...
Then added to the headboard area...
These are ALL P*O*S*S*I*B*I*L*I*T*I*E*S...
The "POP-OF-ORANGE, HINT OF RUST, WICKER SUITCASES" -
along with *ALL-THE-WHITE*...
Have a FaB Weekend!*!*!
GoRgeOus Weather, here in the MidWest!*!*!

**ChiPPy!-SHaBBy!** Thinking Spring...
I know it's way tooooo early to put out "Flowering" items other than "bulbs" in my vignettes ~ but after getting about 8 inches of SNOW yesterday - the following pics are a "pick-me-up"... "THINK SpRiNg"...
ViNtaGe Garden...
Funky "50's" pink/white garden flowers...
Green Metal Sap Bucket...
ViNtaGe Garden Markers - rare find!!!
Old Metal Grate of sort...
Dried Peonies...
Made-In-Italy... "Capodimonte" RoSe Adornment...
Just Sweet!*!*!
**~** FRESH **~**
I just LoVe well-ironed linens!!!
Even if a linen has a hole or stain - it can easily be camouflaged by covering it up with an object, folding it under, or turning it toward the back... Ironing and a bit of starch MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE...
I also have a weakness for Vintage Tole Chandeliers!!! They don't necessarily need to be hung or even lit for that matter...

**ChiPPy!-SHaBBy!** ViNtaGe Tole Christmas Tree!*!*!
I have one ViNtaGe Christmas Holiday Decoration that I can call "My-Most-Favortie" ~ ViNtaGe Tole Christmas Tree with berries... birdies... candles - BeSt!*!*!
I can never get enough of vintage clip-on birds!*!*! I love the ones with a time-worn patina and "2" wire legs... Birdies like this stay up in our home through February...
Each year I display the tree in a different spot...
We started a traditon ~ lighting it on the table every Christmas Eve... Soooooo beautiful!*!*!

Made-In-Italy - "Gilt Gold" Tole Pieces...
Let's talk "GILT-GOLD" ViNtaGe Tole & today's market... Use to be that vintage gilt-gold tole pieces with a metal Italy tag would fly out of my booth -or- if on Ebay, would net a high dollar... What has happened to it's attraction???
I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw this pair of Gilt-Gold Italian Sconce/Candelabras at Kane County Flea Market just a few weeks ago... WHY were they STILL THERE hours after the Flea Market Opened??? The original white colored Flowers were even an extra +++... NO, they did not have an Italy Tag - but definitely Vintage Italian Tole, and there was a repair to one of the leaves on the backside... These were Just Stunning Beauties!!! AND the price was soooo right for the pair!!! I must have looked at them for over 10 minutes trying to decide to buy or not buy... Is the current market "soft" on buying GILT-GOLD ITALIAN PIECES??? I see soooooo many other "GILT PIECES" not moving in other booths too...
I sold this gorgeous gilt-gold wall sconce on Ebay just 2 years ago and it brought in a very good dollar for me...
The flowers were exceptional!!! - Just like the ones on the sconces at Kane County Flea Market...
Another item I sold on Ebay for a very very good dollar!!! - 2 years ago... This one had porcelain roses & metal Italy tag...
Yet another "Gilt-Gold" Ebay item I sold a couple years ago...
This is what to look for...
Another "chippy-shabby" Gilt-Gold, Italian Tole lamp, Italy Tag, sold a couple years ago on my Ebay Site...
I'd love to hear your comments on "Today's Market" regarding
ViNtaGe "Gilt-Gold" Italian Tole...
