 "Cheerful Delights" at the Grocery Store - Yesterday!*!*!

Sooooo thrilled to be greeted at the grocery store entrance yesterday, by these pretty, uplifting - 

~*Fresh & Alive Flowering Viola Plants*~

WORKING WITH WHAT I HAVE ~  popped these dirt encased beauties in some chippy-white clay pots I had stacked in the garage...   NEXT - found just the right container with "hints-of-rust" to display them in as a table centerpiece.  The addition of a ViNtaGe Mache Easter Bunny was like "jewelry on the dress"...  Hope this brings a smile to your face as much as it does mine!

The *CALM* Before the Storm ~ 2019 - June Elkhorn Flea - WI...

~**The Weather**~

Is ALWAYS an issue at Outdoor Flea Markets!!!

The forecast was extremely grim
 for this PAST SUNDAY'S  FLEA (May 19th - 2019)... 
 HOWEVER, The Morning *STAYED-DRY*... 
 The S*U*N Poked Out Off & On...
 The Wind INITIALLY Calm...  

The InSane STORM Hit us about 12:45
and lasted for "30-minutes"...
Thank Goodness my Frog Husband was with me!!!
Jeff held on to the center tent frame...
I held on to the tent leg & side where the wind was whipping-in... 

~THanKFul ~ 
WE SURVIVED & SO DID OUR TENTS/ITEMS!!!
The sun came out shortly after...
 We've been working on a wet/muddy cleanup  on ever since!

Although the SHoPPerS came out,

 - the crowd was nothing compared to the usual Elkhorn Flea Season Opener in May...

when "I-Spied" These Breathtaking 

~* VICTORIAN ERA *~

 GLASS GLOBE FLOWER LIGHT FIXTURES

(Now In-Our-Home)

 JUST ABOUT EVERY VINTAGE FIND HAS - A - STORY!!!

A*N*D THIS ONE Most Certainly Does!!!

While the Shop Owner was wrapping up the YELLOW GLOBE, it fell out of it's base and "C*R*A*S*H*E*D" in a million pieces on-the-floor...  OMG!!!  My heart sank...  Iwas envisioning them in a GROUPING of THREE as a TABLE CENTERPIECE...   I could just see them filled with perhaps  CANDLES, PLANTS, Or  Even FRESH FLOWERS...  Now looking at the remaining *Two* - THEY JUST DIDN'T LOOK RIGHT TOGETHER...

  In my haste, I made a bad decision

~ just taking the *BLUE ONE* Home with me...  

 

 Upon Arriving Home, and over the next few days,

 I became more and more **OBSESSED** over this

 NOW RE-PURPOSED, ViNtaGe Light Fixture... 

LONG STORY SHORT...

By a stroke of luck,  I was able to find a somewhat similar *Yellow/Orange* Glass Shade on Ebay...  The Embossed Flower Mold is  EXACTLY the Same, HOWEVER, THE HAND PAINTING TECHNIQUE, on the inside, is quite different - but acceptable in the grouping...

NOW FOR THE PINK-ONE... - I ENDED UP CRAZILY driving near 70-Miles "Round-Trip" -  going back  for the PINK ONE!!!  It was still there, and the Shop Owner was willing to sell me the Metal Housing from the Broken YELLOW One...  OMG!!! OMG!!! OMG!!! 

 I just L*O*V*E how the daylight brings out their rich colors...

 *JuSt Stunning*...

If I keep them displayed on the table, I most certainly will rest them on some crude old warm wood - perhaps a cutting board???  AwEsoMe for Summer Nites On-The-Deck!*!*!

 I also LoVe that they have dimensional "ribbing"

 on the lower white globe part...

 The simple metal ceiling housing

 (without more commonly found ornate edging) 

Is the perfect "go-with" - not too busy ...
