**PETERBOROUGH** New Hampshire!!!!!!

Back from our "New England" Fall Trip!!!! ALL the leaves were at their PeRfeCt Peak!!! My FaVoRiTe stop this year was in ***PETERBOROUGH, NEW HAMPSHIRE***... I just LoVe this little Town!!! Peterborough's town center is soooo UpScale!!! ~ Nested down in a valley ~ soooo picturesque New England!!! My Most Favorite shop of the whole trip was Bowerbird & Friends!!!!! Kathy has done such a FaBuLouS job of display ~ and even better ~ EVERYTHING is for SaLe!!!!! Don't you just hate it when you see an awesome display and it says NFS... It was so nice meeting Kathy ~ she has such enthusiasm and light spirit about her ~ it reflects in her store... I netted "2" exceptional finds at Bowerbird, "An AwEsoMe FLUTED BARBOLA COLUMN, & 2-DIE-FOR CHiPPy METAL CHAIR... I think both of these will be keepers for a long time!!! The back of her shop runs along the town's creek/river and the leaves at this time of year were the perfect magical adornment... To our surprise, Kathy had quite a few bottles that my husband, Jeff, was able to appraise for her... We both had such a great time in this shop!!! ThAnK YoU Kathy!!! Across the street was RED CHAIR ANTIQUES... Since we were there 4 years ago, she moved into a bigger spot... RED CHAIR has a lot of European Antiques... I did buy a FaBuLouS CHiPPy Wall Cupboard - Great Form!!! - Endless possibilities... If I can't find the PeRfeCt spot for this in our home ~ I'll put it on Ebay this Winter Selling Season... **NOTE ~ GOOGLE Chippy Shabby, I'm the first one up and it will take you to my EBAY ME PAGE** Bookmarking me for my WiNteR Selling SeAsoN would be much appreciated!!! Peterborough has ThE BeSt "Sweet Treats"!!! We always get these FaBuLouS Espresso Brownies, but this year tried the Cinnamon Buns ~ YES, I went back for seconds... More on our NEW ENGLAND ROAD TRIP in the next few days... BED & BREAKFAST INNS... BOTTLE SHOW... OTHER ANTIQUE STOPS... PICTURESQUE COUNTRYSIDE... Feel free to leave comments... These are the last pics from my Texas Adventure... Displays... AmAzIng Finds... Regrets - that I didn't buy it... I met sooooo many wonderful people ~ EVERYONE was exceptionally friendly!!! I'm already enjoying ALL the new BLOG sites ~ what a great way to inspire!!! Even tough I'm just back a week now ~ I'M PACKING MY BAGS AGAIN!!!!! It's amazes me that I can and am doing this, even though I'm working "2" jobs to get by & "keep junking" in this economy... I'm catching a plane tomorrow to meet my husband in KEENE, NEW HAMPSHIRE. Each year he makes the trek via car - loaded with his antique bottles to sell at this premier New England show... The added perks for me are good food ~ site seeing (those New England Leaves can be as big as dinner plates!) antiques stops, & bed & breakfast Inns... CHECK BACK after the 17th FOR MY NEW ENGLAND PICTURES... I'm sure to find some AwEsoMe "SHaBBy STuFF"!!! (click to enlarge any photo...)

TEXAS - Famous "Junk Gypsies"...

The very first booth I shopped at Warrenton/Zapp Hall Area was the famous "Junk Gypsies"!!! Their booth is situated right next to the road, so they get great exposure... The sisters, Amie & Jolie were there ~ how exciting to see them in person!!! These girls are just GoRgeOuS!!!!!!! & sweet as can be!!! Their Junk Gypsy clothing line ranges from snap button western shirts, custom t-shirts, jewelry, belts, western boots, etc. I was a bit disappointed in their Antique Selection - more clothing than antiques... However, I did buy an AwEsoMe Shabby Hanging Light Fixture, which I think is a keeper!!! Jolie gave me a great deal on it... These ladies do such a nice job and what a draw to Warrenton!!! Prom night is ALL everyone talks about!!! Amie & Jolie have really started something with decking-out in "ViNtaGe Fluff" for this Good Time Music & Merriment Event... ~ Unfortunately, Prom Day I flew home in order to celebrate my Wedding Anniversary which I wouldn't have missed for the world... ChiPPy!- SHaBBy! Bliss @Marburger!!!

Last Tuesday was opening day at **MARBURGER FARM**, in Texas ~ AbsoLuTeLy INcrEdiBLe!!! - All UpScale Displays with Unique VinTaGe Finds ~ Reminded me of the Chicago Botanic Antique Garden Show held in Spring!!! This was ChiPPy! Bliss for me!!!!! Unfortunately the prices were over the top insanely high!!! ~ However, I did come away with "two" - To Die For items!!! One was a Unique ViNtaGe Vest from ~ ***"Magnolia Pearl"***~ What an AmAziNg Experience that was!!! My pictures don't do her whole concept/display justice... Robin Brown truly has a LoVe for ViNtaGe Lace!!! The inside was "just magical"!!!!! - Giant tree in the center dripping with old lace on the branches ~ Victorian couches ~ Hugh vintage mirrors ~ Hay 6 inches deep!!! FaBuLouS one on one Customer Service!!! The booth was packed with women 20 - 70 years old... There was that special ***PeRfeCt OutFiT*** for every individual... Almost all of Robin Brown's items are made from scraps of old vintage lace - some are dyed, each scrap uniquely cut... Robin was so nice ~ I told her I came all the way from Wisconsin ~ read lots about her over the years ~ & asked to have my picture taken with her - SEE FOR YOURSELF!!! ThAnk you Robin!!! Robin recently married her long time business partner, John Gray... There is a wonderful article with lots of photos of their wedding in "COUNTY DECORATING IDEAS/ROMANTIC COUNTRY MAGAZINE - recently displayed till September 21st - 2009. The other AmAziNg item I purchased were a ***Pair of Old ChiPPy White Windows*** ~ I LOVE THEM!!! ~ Exceptional arched top with diagonal dividers between the glass... These keepers will either go in my bathroom near the tub -OR- in our bedroom... Mariann's partner, Tom is generously hauling all my finds back to Wisconsin for me ~ pick up at the end of this month...

FaBuLouS!!! ~ FOOD & DRINK

The ***"Bug Man"*** from Colorado makes The BeSt Lemonade on the Planet!!!! - I'm serious... Fresh squeezed & sweetened just right!!! PeRfeCt in 115 degree weather! *** Royer's Cafe*** located at "Zapp Hall" in Warrenton, Texas had a sweet ICE TEA deal for all the vendors... Buy a large $5.00 Ice Tea in a special plastic cup ~ endless free refills ALL WEEK!!!! It was The BeSt Ice Tea ever!!! Each day around 2 o'clock I would wander over to ***"Manuel's Taco Stand"*** ~ YES, I had 2 Chicken Tacos EVERY DAY!!! ~ BeSt Ever!!! Mariann's partner, Tom "grilled-out" delicious pork chops & brats just as a surprise thunder storm hit... Tom was soooooo funny yelling "bring it on" ~ the sky more than obliged!!!
