OMG!*!*! We woke up to a "Winter Wonderland" this Monday Morning here in Wisconsin... The very first snowfall of the season is soooooo exciting!*!*! ***Just GoRgeOuS*** I'm sooooo glad to have woken up at 6:30 on my "day-off"... ~ After my first cup of coffee... ~ slipped on the snow boots ~ grabbed the down coat, gloves, hat, camera, & headed out with my "pajama legs" showing... ~ who cares... Over 50 you can get away with it!!!

I had a very small triangle-shaped area to work with... My windows & doors helped define the space & created a nice backdrop for visualizing the items in your home on a wall or nook area...

The AwEsoMe, hard-to-part-with "Old BIRD HOUSE" (another sneak peek pic.) was another item that SOLD in the first few minutes... Everyone kept asking me if I put up the HUGH grapevine arbor in the background - NO, the grapevine arbor is a permanent fixture in this warehouse building... It was a nice backdrop for the seller behind me...

My friend Sandy bought this GoRgeOuS Vintage Blue Bottle Brush Wreath!!! I wish I could have snapped a picture of her leaving the show ~ "arms full"!*!*! Enjoy Sandy!!!

I just loved her adorned with snow & greens in the old table top bird bath ... She'll either be "For SaLe" on Ebay this winter -OR- at Northwind Farm Garden Show this upcoming June... I know some of you living in a "warm climate" think I'm CrAzY - talking about upcoming SaLes in May & June... ~ YOU have NO Idea how LONG Winter lasts in Wisconsin ~ Blizzard after Blizzard!*!*!

OMG!*!*! ~ Do I ever have a busy+++ next few days!!! Today I'm working both of my jobs 8 a.m. till 10 p.m... & Cedarburg has it's yearly "Christmas-in-the-Country" Show along with "Winter-in-the-Garden" at the Cedarburg Cultural Center & an Art Show at the Community Center... I'll be up early on Saturday Morning - December 5th to bring the last load of little adornments for the "Holiday Antique Show" I'll be doing in Germantown,Wisconsin... Germantown is about 11 miles southwest of Cedarburg... ***Here is "the last sneak-peak" of a few delights you'll find in my booth*** - TOMORROW!!! Hope to see you there!*!*!

ABUNDANCE AntiQue Store ~ Hebron, IL ...

I packed soooooo much in last Saturday that I'm STILL talking about it!*!*! Just south of Lake Geneva is a small gem of a town for antiquing ~ HEBRON, ILLINOIS... I always stop there if I take the back roads home from Kane County Flea Market... Although, there are less antique stores than years ago, I almost always come home with a GreAt FiNd!*!*! ***Susan, Owner of "Abundance Antiques"*** has an exceptional store ~ very good quality... Susan's window displays are AwEsoMe!!! ~ she has lots of architectural salvage & unusual chippy white this & that...

Here I am with Susan, the owner... I got to know Susan a little better this past summer when we both did Northwind Perennial Farm's Antique Garden Show this past June...

Abundance has a second floor... This incredible light fixtures hangs from a high tin ceiling ... If memory serves me right - Susan said they were made from "horse-hair & plaster"... What a time~worn patina!!! I couldn't think of better spot to display them...

I've always loved this charming cottage house in Lake Geneva & have wanted to take a picture of it... It's on the winding road between Hebron & downtown Lake Geneva...

Another Antique Store in Hebron is "Grampy's... This place is a "junker's paradise"!*!*! I don't think there was ever a time I didn't come home with something from here... Usually the window displays are very inviting - but today wasn't one of them... ~ Probably SOLD something exceptional...

This piece ~ was still in the window at Grampy's... On closer inspection, I determined that the silk flower arrangement was "spray-painted" - OMG!*!*! I think I'm going to try that but use several different shades of whites and creams... It definitely had a look to it!*!*!

More AnTiQuE Stores - Ridgefield, Illinois...

Although the downtown area of Ridgefield, Illinois is quite small, it does have about 6 Antique Stores... The buildings are very old & it adds to the area's charm along the railroad tracks...

4 DaYs till HoLiDay Show!!! ~ Sneak Peek-->

OMG!*!*! A dealer's dream... ~ I was able to set up my booth yesterday - long before this weekend's event - unheard of!!! Setting up the day of show is sooooo stressful... You're trying to look at what other dealers have brought with hopes to buy & still need to tend to your own stuff... I was sooooo able to relax yesterday & add just the right adornments... Get there EarLy if you can ~ opens at 9 a.m.

the Frenchman's Wife - Shop in Ridgefield, IL

My entire "Saturday's Outing" was spurred on by a "holiday open house invitation" from a vintage /antique shop in Ridgefield, Illinois - "the frenchman's wife"... I became acquainted with Lisa, the owner, about 3 years ago or so, when she would set up at a few Illinois Flea Markets... I LoVed just about everything she had for sale!!! Lisa is sooooooo talented ~ an incredible display artist... This would be my first trip to her store ~ being that it is well off the beaten path for me & her hours are very limited...

As I pulled into the tiny town of Ridgefield, I saw this display on the front porch & just knew it was Lisa's Shop ~ well before I saw the sign!*!*!

Her shop is in an Old House... I just LoVed the Front Door!!!

I love that Lisa is inspired by nature and incorporates it in her displays...
The shop most certainly "has a look to it"... A palette of cream colors, warm woods, & the perfect "go-with" adornments... NOTHING CUTESY HERE!!!

I can envision a lot of her larger scale "re-purposed industrial" items in downtown Chicago Lofts... Note the shelf - it's a painter's scaffold plank!!!

The shop was pleasantly adorned with an ever so slight hint of holiday greens & a light dusting of snow...

"The frenchman's wife" is well worth the drive... Open most Fridays...
I did buy an AwEsoMe little stand-up mirror with incredible patina ~ definitely a keeper!*!*!
