Selling My SHaBBies at an outdoor flea during the COVID PANDEMIC, and Not Knowing what I was walking into ~ was the most stressful part...  I can NOW SAY, with ALL the *Safety Precautions* I took, I feel very settled & confident that ALL IS WELL...

~*MaKiNg It SAFE-TO-SELL*~

In-My-Booth

*Set Up OUTDOORS in the breeze!!!

*Arranged my booth layout for quick "in & out" if it got too crowded...

*Checkout Area was well social distanced between writing up my ticket sales in-the-van, along with additional distancing at the check-out table...

 *Customer inserted Credit Card into chip reader with no signature required...

 *After each CASH SALE, I "Lathered-Up" my hands with foaming soap & rinsed them in-a-BUCKET ~ Easily drying them on my tablecloths that were blowing in the breeze!!!  THIS WAS THE BeSt thing I did!!! ~ highly recommend!!!

 

 *Used additional spray hand sanitizer before grabbing anything to eat or drink...

*As for Non-Mask Wearers, if I needed to interact with them, it was "easy" to quickly distance myself from them & still check them out...    

Due to the Pandemic, I will not be doing any INDOOR HOLIDAY Shows this year

I will continue "Random Postings" on my social media sites...

  I will keep you posted if I decide to do *Porch Pick-Ups* -Or- *Shipping of Items*

This pic was taken last year at a local flea, here in Wisconsin.  If you're a Flea Market Shopper, and the weather is good, THIS IS WHAT AN AVERAGE DAY AT THE FLEA LOOKS LIKE!!! 

What About the 6' Rule??? ~ For COVID Safety???

 ~ I really doubt it could be adhered to at this type of market!

I can't envision EVERYONE Wearing a Mask Either!!!

~Especially if it were hot outside...  Hydrating with bottled water & *EATING* - requires having to touch your mask!

~* SeLLing Outdoors Under a Tent *~

I think I miss this the most!  Outdoor Displays are So InViting!!!

Most Tents displayed with merchandise, barely have room to easily walk around in..  How could I police the number of people allowed in my booth? ~ Especially if I'm the only one selling?

Besides the Safety Measures of Mask & Social Distancing,

 -AS A FLEA MARKET SELLER- 

Should I Wear Gloves??? ~ Everyone Touches Everything!!!

Handing Money & writing up tickets would be very difficult.

What about Credit Card Purchases & touching the Device???

Unsold Merchandise & Props ~ Will I be bringing the virus home with me???

I CAN'T WIPE DOWN EVERYTHING!*!*! 

As Much as I want to get back to selling at Specialty Shows & Flea Markets, I think I've answered my own questions...

Selling is stressful enough...

Wearing a Mask, Gloves, & Social Distancing would be taking away my Joy while selling to you!  I want to be safe, & I want my customers to be safe, I want to give you a hug!!!  ALL the info out there Todate - IS MOST UNCERTAIN & EVEN QUESTIONABLE...

RIGHT NOW ~ MY DECISION IS TO ~*STAY HOME*~

No Flea Markets "FOR ME" ~ TILL FURTHER NOTICE

My *Frog-Husband* & I are STAYING HOME!

I have a Fab FRESH ChiPPy-SHaBBy STaSH Ready to Sell for this Season!!!

I'm currently *Re-Thinking* how I might move my merchandise safely.
