I've been making live "Easter Grass Baskets" for at least 25 years now... It all started when I lived in Nevada, where I had seen them at what we now call - "Occasional Sales"... These SOLD very well for me at Grayslake Flea Market a couple of weeks ago, and I filled quite a few "personal orders"...
Daddio's Diner in Batavia, Illinois was kind enough to "Save Their Early Morning EGG-SHELLS" for me... I colored them as you would whole Easter Eggs...
For the most part, I try to use older Easter Baskets...
The Shells will keep for next year as well...
The Wheat/Rye Grass grows very quickly...
The Baskets last about 2 weeks when watered sparingly...
Now "hop-on-over" to Debra's COMMON GROUND BLOG to view all the other InSpiRaTion Friday Entries...
Have a wonderful Easter Weekend Everyone!!!
