**ChiPPy!-SHaBBy!** ReUpholstered MAKE~OVER!*!*!

Some years ago (I'm much tooo embarrassed to actually say how many years...) Jeff and I were On-The-Hunt for either a New -OR- Used Pair of Upholstered Chairs for our home...   With our tall, almost floor to ceiling  windows, we needed  chairs with very low backs so we could easily take advantage of the views...    After much shopping, we opted to "Re-Upholster" a pair of chairs from a ReSale Shop - that were covered in some gruesome "Hippie-Style" 1970's  Fabric!*!*!

Just before Thanksgiving, the Upholsterer Delivered our Newly, "Not Toooo ShaBBy", Upholstered Chairs...  I just LoVe how they turned out!*!*!  SHADES OF WHITE can be quite tricky...  We were just thrilled that we picked the perfect shade of white ~ not blinding to the eye, & not too strong of beige or yellow tones...
 *~*Just a soft creamy white *~*
We had him do some updates ~ omitting the skirt and exposing some newly varnished legs to match the sofa...  We also had him add lots of piping detail...

The Pottery Barn Catalog arrived shortly after and these HoLIDay Pillows were "Shabby-Love" at first sight!*!*!

The Catalog was already Sold-Out
 on this GoRgeOus Pillow,
so I netted mine at the store...
Now hop on over to Faded Charm
& enjoy the rest of the WHITE WEDNESDAY ENTRIES...

Have a good rest of the week!*!*!

  1. Well done on that creamy fabric. It is so much better than the 70's fabric.

  4. Jeanine,
I love your chair and the wool felt pillows are just so perfect. I have been busy redoing an entire dining room set, in Annie Sloan Old White. I have heavily distressed it so it has a very chippy look. I had the chairs upholstered in a linen. My new job has kept me so busy I haven't had time to shop any of your sales. But soon my dining room will be ready for some chippy accents.
