**ViNtaGe** Mercury Glass Globe Shade ~ Re-Purposed!*!*!

It's now time for me to start "Fussing-Up" ~ My-Own-Home for the HoLiDays!*!*!  I've started the "nesting process" for the long winter season ahead, - sorting, packing, & rearranging all my SHaBBies from this past Season...  I'm almost always rewarded by coming across something I had long forgotten about...  Such was the case as I came across a FaB ViNtaGe Find that I netted from the Iowa Junk Gypsies...  When I spotted this time-worn ViNtaGe Mercury Glass Globe Shade, I had a pretty good idea what my plans were for it...

I have the large globe flipped over ~ resting on a vintage plateau mirror...

A side view of the globe reveals
a much desired silver loss patina...  Adding a candle in a glass holder, most certainly will enhance this time~worn patina...

I added some springs of "G*R*E*E*N*S from our garden, along with a sweet BiRdiE Adornment, painted silver acorns & leaves...

A unique, one-of-a-kind re-purposed F*I*N*D,
not only for the HoLiDay Season, but long into January as well...

  2. What a wonderful look. I just love those easy projects that totally transform a piece into something spectacular and you didn't have to strip, sand, paint or stain it!
I loved the hutch in your mirror reflection! Everything looks so beautiful!
