**ViNtaGe Garden Collectibles**

My love for "ViNtaGe Garden" started out many years ago when I lived in the Desert of all places!!!  It began with WATERING CANS and "branched-out" to other garden related go-withs...  I have my computer/office area in what I call my "Garden Loft"...  I'm surrounded with a good number of my most cherished vintage garden pieces...  Here are a few pics I'd like to share with YOU!*!*!  (click on pics to enlarge)

This is a rarer seed box...  I paid an insane price for it years ago on Ebay...  The RICE'S SEED PACKETS are also a "rare-find" - another Ebay purchase many, many, years ago...  Placement of vintage paper/ephemera is very important ~ you don't want "daylight" to fade them...

 It's rare that I buy a watering cans these days ~ It has to really be something extra special...  This little mustard-colored beauty was a recent "Door County" find this summer...

I love staging small pieces of advertising ephemera on/in flower frogs...  I think it adds just the right touch...

I'm in the process of looking for a Just Fab & Funky Junk Hauling Van/Truck!*!*!  I'm parting with my now too expensive "SHaBBy Pearl White Beauty" & want something that better meets my spacial needs for hauling my Props & SHaBBy ViNtaGe Finds ~ not to mention those "curb-side" SHaBBy Sightings...  I need something reliable for those early 4 a.m. mornings when I'm on the road alone...  LoVe to hear What YOU drive ~ and how it meets your needs!*!*!  OMG!*!*!  I already got an incredible "HOT TIP"on one possibility already ThiS MoRniNg!*!*!  

I think "this one" has seen better days...

There she is!!! ~ Mariann with her "pink & white" Shasta Trailer...  It is always a pleasure to chat with her and see what shabbies she might have brought!!! - And  I did indeed come away with some...

Oh-My-Heart...  THaNk You Soooooooo much for ALL YOUR SUPPORT!!!  Women are InCreDibLe!!!  The Internet is AmaZiNg!!!  All the LoVe from a good number of people I've never even met ~ but have connected with through my blog...   YOU are truly appreciated/cherished... 

A women named SHARON, whom I've never met, sent me the MOST AMAZING LINK!!!  LeMoNaDe - It has changed my life forever...  Soooooo Empowering...  It's about ThE BeSt 30 minutes you'll ever set aside....  

I do want to clarify EXACTLY where I'm at with the job/no job...  I didn't get COMPLETELY AXED - just yet...  I've been given just enough hours to make my Cobra/Health Insurance Payment and put gas in the car - nothing more...  Not very rewarding working just for Health Care...   Hubby isn't working - retired...  I'm becoming bitter over the details of this major cut back...   I still have my part-time job at the Stagecoach Bed & Breakfast where I work about 8 hours a week...  I almost wish they'd put me out of my misery - collect unemployment - and FULLY FOCUS On A MORE SELF-SATISFYING LoVe of Creating Displays for a living...  I'm hanging by a thread ~ but I do have LOTS MORE TIME TO  BRAINSTORM...

Right now I'm thinking of putting my E-ZUP Tent near the mouth of our driveway on the weekends with my Shabby Finds For Sale!!!  ~  I'm strongly considering having a booth at the August Grayslake Flea Market in Illinois ~ August 14 & 15...  I'll keep you posted!!!

Slim-Pickings... Cedarburg WI Maxwell Street Flea Market...

Cedarburg's MAXWELL STREET FLEA MARKET, this past Sunday, was  "SLIM-PICKINGS"... Way tooooooo many empty spots!!!  Thank goodness for the dealers that did set-up...  The weather was GREAT!  Dry... Little Wind... Somewhat cloudy...  Many of you emailed me to see if I was setting up...  I ALWAYS SELL AT THE FIRST ONE OF THE SEASON - Memorial Weekend... - After that it's "By-Chance"- more like a last minute decision if I do...    

All the grassy area "use-to-be" filled with Dealers...  With all the empty spaces, I was doing BOTH SIDES of the Isles at once...  I felt bad for anyone who drove more than an hour to get there...   It's one thing if there was GREAT JUNK with limited Dealers - But overall, that wasn't the case THIS TIME...   Where were all the FAB BOOTHS from May's Event???    Of course there was always "Shopping in our Quaint little town too"...

This Vendor had a nice selection of ViNtaGe Mirrors and some Old Frames...

Regrets...  Yes, I passed up this chippy piece...  I sure stood there long enough and thought about it...  The price was soooo right too...  

Darling Dresser ~ However, the price was a bit higher than I wanted to pay AND it wasn't White and ChiPPy!

Interesting piece...  ~ Just wasn't time-worn enough, and the price was too high for resale...

I think this Dealer is from the Chicago Area...  Their booth wins "Best of Show"...  GREAT STUFF!!!  I'm  sure they did well... 

My friend Kathy, was lucky enough to snatch-up this AwEsoMe Find!!!

I bought this Mirror from Mariann...  - It WAS GOLD...  I've already taken a paint brush to it!!!  I just LoVed the Barbola Garland Swag over the Mirrored Surface...

All in All ~ I netted only a mere "7" items...

**Highwood ViNtaGe MARKET** ~ Illinois...

Lot's of "SHaBBy-SHoPPinG" went on this past weekend, but I didn't NET all that much...   We started out on THE HUNT around 7:30 am., hitting a SUB DIVISION SALE...  The only GREAT FiNd I came home with was a much needed Sewing Machine ~ WORKS PeRfeCtly ~ OMG!!!~ Only "$5.00"   Next we started our trek to a NorthShore Suburb of Chicago ~ Highwood, Illinois...  The promoters of Randolph Street Market were hosting "HIGHWOOD STREET VINTAGE MARKET"...  After locating the Market, I was thrilled to find out that Anthropologie was less than 2 miles away!!!

 The Market was held in an outdoor park just minutes from the downtown's main street...  There were about 40 - 50 dealers...   Quite a Mix...  Lots of Industrial & Jewelry...

I was pleasantly surprised to see Diane Selling...  It's rare that she has an Outdoor Booth...

As you can see, her booth was packed with customers!!!  Diane had quite a mix of INDUSTRIAL & VINTAGE GARDEN...

I'm not sure what to think of INDUSTRIAL PIECES Just Yet...  The Bug Hasn't hit me...   All I know is that INDUSTRIAL IS SELLING like "HOT CAKES" at the Chicago Area Flea Markets RIGHT NOW...

The Dealer said IRONSIDES was a brand of car battery...

Yes, it went home with us...  Can't you just picture WHITE IRONSTONE DISHES STACKED ON THIS!*!*!  Just FaB for a "Retro Kitchen Display"...   I'M Most Certainly keeping this for now...  

 These industrial bins/drawers were from an old Frigidaire Range...  The dealer thought they were baking pans of sort...  Later that afternoon we stopped at an Estate SALE and saw the Range!!!

It was slim pickings for Architectural Salvage...

We explored Highwood's Downtown Area and came across the MOST QUAINT OUTDOOR FRENCH BISTRO ~ FROGGYS...  Being about 94 degrees, we opted to eat somewhere else...

I just LoVEd this Metal Tole Piece above the entry doors at Froggy's!!!

We're definitely going back...
