**Highwood ViNtaGe MARKET** ~ Illinois...

Lot's of "SHaBBy-SHoPPinG" went on this past weekend, but I didn't NET all that much...   We started out on THE HUNT around 7:30 am., hitting a SUB DIVISION SALE...  The only GREAT FiNd I came home with was a much needed Sewing Machine ~ WORKS PeRfeCtly ~ OMG!!!~ Only "$5.00"   Next we started our trek to a NorthShore Suburb of Chicago ~ Highwood, Illinois...  The promoters of Randolph Street Market were hosting "HIGHWOOD STREET VINTAGE MARKET"...  After locating the Market, I was thrilled to find out that Anthropologie was less than 2 miles away!!!

The Market was held in an outdoor park just minutes from the downtown's main street...  There were about 40 - 50 dealers...   Quite a Mix...  Lots of Industrial & Jewelry...

I was pleasantly surprised to see Diane Selling...  It's rare that she has an Outdoor Booth...
** She's one of my MoSt FaVoRiTe Sellers **

As you can see, her booth was packed with customers!!!  Diane had quite a mix of INDUSTRIAL & VINTAGE GARDEN...

Inside Diane's Tent...

I'm not sure what to think of INDUSTRIAL PIECES Just Yet...  The Bug Hasn't hit me...   All I know is that INDUSTRIAL IS SELLING like "HOT CAKES" at the Chicago Area Flea Markets RIGHT NOW...
Jeff spotted this AwEsoMe Piece - & I just had to have it!!!
The Dealer said IRONSIDES was a brand of car battery...

Yes, it went home with us...  Can't you just picture WHITE IRONSTONE DISHES STACKED ON THIS!*!*!  Just FaB for a "Retro Kitchen Display"...   I'M Most Certainly keeping this for now...

These industrial bins/drawers were from an old Frigidaire Range...  The dealer thought they were baking pans of sort...  Later that afternoon we stopped at an Estate SALE and saw the Range!!!

GoRgeOuS ~ but it wasn't old...

It was slim pickings for Architectural Salvage...

We explored Highwood's Downtown Area and came across the MOST QUAINT OUTDOOR FRENCH BISTRO ~ FROGGYS...  Being about 94 degrees, we opted to eat somewhere else...

I just LoVEd this Metal Tole Piece above the entry doors at Froggy's!!!
We're definitely going back...

CHECK BACK IN A DAY OR SO -  FOR THE REPORT ON THIS PAST SUNDAY'S MAXWELL STREET FLEA MARKET IN CEDARBURG...

  4. Hey! Great blog! I'm jealous of your vintage market... they have those down in NC where my mom lives, but here on Long Island it's pretty much running from antique store to thrift store. Nothing all in one place like that. Thanks for sharing!

    P.S.

I have entered a contest to win a walk-on role on the retro-licious show "Mad Men".

If you would take two seconds to vote for me, I would really appreciate it. Just go to my blog, or use this link to go straight to my photo page.
