A Day of Eye-Candy @ The Chicago Botanic Antique Garden Fair...

YESTERDAY, Frog Husband and I had a date!*!*!  Geared-Up with *Winter Coats, Hats, Scarves, & Gloves - as we headed out to the Chicago Botanic Gardens - for their annual ViNtaGe Garden Fair - in  Illinois...
Years past ~ I can remember wearing a light Spring Jacket - and on a few occasions, having sandals on!!!  Although all of the antiques are INDOORS, it was quite a long walk to the entrance - due to the flooding of a good portion of their parking lots... - So glad we "geared-up" for that...  I always love touring the grounds after doing the show - but this year - with sleet, rain, & COLD temperatures - next to nothing was in bloom OUTSIDE...

Lot's of Metal with a "rusty... crusty... PaTiNa"...

 Obsessed with ViNtaGe T*O*L*E...
Tucked under a larger table was my most FaVoRite Piece of the entire VinTaGe Garden Show...
H*O*W*E*V*E*R, The Price was INSANE ~ No Way could I take it home...
I L*O*V*E ViNtaGe Tole that has acquired a natural time-worn patina!!!  Hints of random chippy... crusty... rusty... PaTiNa - on top of the old painted colored metal
 - Makes me CrAzY!*!*!

 Another KiLLeR Tole Piece!!!

 The Real Deal - NOT a re-production...

I loved this little cubby drawer cabinet!!!
HOWEVER, yet another eye-candy item
 due to the insane price-point...

Sooooo refreshing to SEE this live vegetable garden.....
LoVeD the hand garden tool
 and watering can as well...

I DIDN'T TAKE MY OWN ADVICE...
***********
RARE ZINC DRAIN GUTTER w/FaB PaTiNa!!!
I don't very often come across ViNtaGe Zinc Pieces...  This one was wonderfully crude with it's imperfections and the PaTiNa was sooooo much better than this picture depicts...  It was a good size as well - not tooo big, not tooo small...   Unfortunately, it was the first thing I fell in LoVe with - IN THE VERY FIRST BOOTH we were in...  The price point was a bit high - but still affordable for my budget...  Not knowing what other time-worn SHaBBies lie ahead, I reluctantly decided to see if it continued to "call out to me" as I continued my ShoPPing...   It did indeed haunt me the entire show ~ and when I went back ~ THERE WAS THE RED TAG...  I was sooooo sad...  Soooooo talking to myself as I am you - when you see an unusual/rare piece that's calling out to you at a high traffic show - BUY IT RIGHT THEN AND THERE...  I'm STILL trying to get over this...
