One FaB Find... One Regret...

YESTERDAY MoRning...  I hit the Road at 5:30 a.m. to do some ChiPPy!-SHaBBy! ShoPPing in Illinois...

 Here's My - Just FaB F*I*N*D...

 This PeRfeCtLy Crusty... Rusty...
ViNtaGe Garden Table is a keeper FOR NOW!*!*!

I'm soooo glad Terry LoVes ViNtaGe ShoPPing
 as much as I do!!!

 Here's my ONE ReGret!*!*!

1. The price was most certainly right!!!
2. Over-The-Top FaB Form!!! Hard to see in the pics - but even the top front edge had a scalloped apron jutting out..
3. Condition issues - the right door didn't open and there was no easy way make it open  due to a secure wood divider...
4. Top had some wood loss... Could have been filled in - but I'd never match that RED...
4. Legs after scrubbing would almost be bare especially in the rear...
5. Although the RED TOP was attractive - would I dare paint it white???

Then I Saw it IN-FRONT Of Someone Else's Truck!!!
I wanted it - EVEN MORE!*!*!
You know how that goes...

By days end, Terry and I were "toast"...

I'll be heading out "before the birds - tomorrow"

  2. What a day we had!!! Roaming the back-roads of Illinois. Yes I love shopping the "crusty-rusties" , but the best part is spending time with my BFF!!!! "PRICELESS". Rest up for our next C*R*A*Z*Y excursion next weekend. HUGS -- Knock 'em dead in Barrington. Terry

  6. What a Fab Find! I too had some Regret for passing on a couple of pieces at a Shop Yard Sale... luckily I went back and the two items were not yet Sold so I was able to have a 2nd chance and snag 'em! *Whew* However... while Shopping recently I saw so many large pieces that I would Love to own... but alas, cannot get... and I HATE when that happens! I'm inclined to want it ALL!!! *LOL*

  7. Oh such finds...and I do understand your "should have been mine" feeling.
We hit a citywide thrift sale Friday...at one sale, I began looking through a wonderful pile, only to hear, "those are mine"----heart sunk. Oh well, still managed to bring plenty home.
