ChiPPy!-SHaBBy! ShoPPing - BROWN COUNTY, INDIANA...

Wisteria... Dogwood... Red Bud...
ALL A BLOOM - In Brown County, Indiana - this past Easter/Spring HoLiDay Weekend!*!*!
Along with some very unexpected FaB ChiPPy!-SHaBBy! ShoPPing!*!*!
(click on pics to enlarge...)

OMG!*!*!
Planning a short Springtime get-away, we headed toward BROWN COUNTY, INDIANA, where we knew it would be warm & the Springtime blossoms in bloom...  Not expecting to do much antiquing, if any, -(R*E*A*L*L*Y)... We took Jeff's smaller-sized VW Vehicle...  After the fact, - I could have easily filled up a good portion of MY SHABBBY VAN at this unexpected stop -
Plum Creek Antiques, in Bean Blossom, Indiana!*!*!

We were lured in by the many
antique/vintage items,
that could be seen overflowing from the large
GaRaGe Doors - along with this funky old Delivery
Truck...  We just had to SEE MORE...

THEN PAULETTE PULLED UP
In this Mobile!!! ~ YES it Runs!!!
I believe Paulette & Husband Paul own this
Shop - but for sure work here...

This was a "Killer Piece"

Paulette told us about a Cafe/Antiques/Greenhouse
only 3 miles down the road...  Sooooooo Glad she did!*!*!
** THE FARMHOUSE **
The Wisteria Tree was in full bloom...
We had The BeSt Peach/Blueberry Pie!*!*!

As we gazed around while eating our dessert,
 this PeRfeCtLy ChiPPy ViNtaGe Mirror
- kept calling out to me...

Although it had NO PRICE TAG,
it still went home with me!*!*!

Lots of Antiques and Vintage Finds were For SaLe
just across the parking lot from the Cafe,
 in a huge barn...

The Greenhouse Area had some of the
healthiest Rosemary Plants I've ever seen...

The **SHaBBiest House** In-The-County...
I bet it was a beauty in it's early days...
(be sure to enlarge THIS ONE...)

The Story Inn - Such a welcoming sight...
Located in the - middle of no where...

Winding Roads... Lots of Rolling Hills...
Homes with time-worn Metal Roofs...
All dotted the GoRgeOuS Country Side...

The Beautiful White Dogwood Blossoms
Welcoming S*P*R*I*N*G as they Dotted the landscape...

  4. OMG...I'm getting the GPS out right now to figure out how far Brown County, Indiana is from Houston, TX. Those look the stores I love, the flowers are so pretty and isn't it great to discover good little restaurants along the way. I'm adding myself as your latest follower...your blog is awesome. Happy Spring Ya'll!

  6. Brown County is beautiful any time of the year. I grew up in Indiana, and my parents would often take us there on a day trip. I miss living there so much, but my long-time job in Texas keeps me in the Lone Star State. Don't get me wrong, Texas has it's awesomeness too, but there is just something about Indiana that gets into your soul.
