October 2011 Country LiVinG Magazine PUMPKINS... BOTTLES... ChiPPy!-SHaBBy! Style!*!*!

The lastest October/Fall issue of COUNTRY LIVING MAGAZINE, is a "must SEE/READ"...  BeSt Issue in a long, long time!!!  The cover photo REALLY drew me in!!!   I just had to try my hand at the AmAziNg FALL PUMPKIN Idea & WHITE BOTTLES... Just a day before my ChiPPy!-SHaBBy! RoadSide SaLe, (like I had nothing to do...) - here's what I came up with!!!

 **~** OWL-PAPERED PUMPKIN **~**

October 2011/Fall Issue
Country Living Magazine
Is this a FaB Cover or What!?!?!

I displayed this PUMPKIN CREATION at my RoadSide SaLe on Saturday, along with a copy of the magazine...
The milk glass pedestal/compote stand was JuSt PeRfeCT for displaying the Pumpkin!!!  Unfortunately the stand SOLD RIGHT AWAY ~ but it went to a good home!!!

I followed Country Living's directions up to a certain point - then tossed-in a bit of my own interpretation ~ especially the center stem...

Not being a "crafter" - it seemed to take me a Long-Time...  AND now I know some things I'd do a little different/better...

The next item that caught my eye in the magazine were WHITE BOTTLES with Bug/Nature Designs...  This was my "ChiPPy!-SHaBBy! Interpretation of what I saw...  Soooo fun for HaLLoWeeN!*!*!

Here they are at Saturday's ChiPPy!-SHaBBy! RoadSide SaLe @ My Home...

As items got SoLd, I created different vignettes using the BOTTLES...  Placement & Adornments can make such a difference...

I LoVEd the Bottles on the table's lower shelf...

MAYBE- More RoadSide Pics to Come???
I have such a BUSY WEEK AHEAD!!!  Less Blogging??? - More Doing is on my agenda...

  3. I too had to buy that magazine just because of the cover. I am scared to try though--even though I am a crafter not quite sure how to make the paper lay flat and look right. Any suggestions? tips?

  6. Was planning to try those too, Jeanine, but thought I would just dig into my stash of scrapbook paper instead of making color copies. LOVE your interpretation! I agree that this issue is a winner!

See you at Elkhorn...where are you setting up?

  7. YES! I have plans to make the pumpkins / bottles too! I have a question though... did you use a Funkin, a real pumpkin, or some other mold? Thanks! Love your displays!
