A Big Thank YOU to all of those who came out to "hear "the inside scoop" ~ on HOW TO SHOP A FLEA MARKET and MORE ~ last night at our local Harris Bank!!!
I set up an "eye-catching" vignette with the main focus of my talk On - "HOW TO SHOP A FLEA MARKET" ~ AND pointing out what to look for in vintage finds... I selected certain items to show/explain what a natural time-worn patina is... Italian Tole with both metal and paper Italy tags... Time-worn paint crazing on architectural pieces... Softening Industrial pieces & repurposing them...
Almost everything I talked about came back to:
IT'S ALL IN THE DISPLAY/PRESENTATION - RE-PURPOSING...
This vignette has been in the bank lobby for about a month now ~ enticing people to come to the seminar last night...

ReplyDeleteWonderful display! I did a similar talk at a Christian Womens Club meeting, but my display was really crappy compared to that. Course I only had about half an hour to set up and had no idea what to take or talk about. Wish I'd thought about actually merchandising the stuff.
