I spotted this booth early in the morning BEFORE the dealers were there...  When I returned to shop ~ way late in the day, they were well SoLd Out - I can see why...

You could just feel all the love they put into their displays...  I'm not sure if they have a blog or not...

BeSt ChiPPy!-SHaBBy! PaTiNa!*!*!  I did buy it, but had to pay dearly...  Not sure if it's a keeper or not yet...

This photo does not do the item justice...  Just FaB piece of iron work...

I just LoVed this piece ~ AND regret I did not pick it up...  The price most certainly was right...  My hesitancy was due to the the large jut out on the backside that held the vents - not a very good "side view"...  I could just see this at Christmas time with a wreath in a vignette!!!

This "Show Stopper Crow" ~ with BliNG was in Jan & Kathy's Booth of "GRACIE'S COTTAGE"...  These gals were soooooo busy!!!

**ChiPPy!-SHaBBy! Shops ElKhoRn Flea MaRKeT**

Opting for an "early-buy-in" - I was on the road by 4 a.m. headed to Elkhorn's Last Flea Market of the 2010 Season... With early morning temperatures in the "low 40's" ~ I bundled up with lots of layers...  It was still dark when I arrived, sooooo I brought my flashlight...  Unfortunately, unlike summertime, due to cold and darkness, many a dealer were not at their booth EARLY... Sheets/tarps were covering their goods - even in the lit buildings... & some sellers were still driving in at 6:30 a.m. to set up - just before the 7 a.m. opening to the public...  All in all, the day was beautiful if you dressed for it ~ not too windy, a bit crisp, but mostly sunny...  The fairgrounds became mobbed by 10 a.m.

This was Joan's Booth of "anything goes here"   Yes, Joan and her huband were busy setting up when I came through EARLY in the morning...  I bought something from her right away...  By the time I went to pick my item up, her space was nearly empty!!! ~ Great Sales Joan...

**ViNtaGe Halloween GURLEY CANDLES**

OMG!*!*! ~ "It's a bit NiPPy this MoRniNg!!!  - Somewhat "BITTERSWEET" - knowing that before long we'll be shut-in for the LONG Winter Season, here in Wisconsin...  HOWEVER, I'm REALLY looking forward to hauling out some serious ViNtaGe Halloween Collectibles!*!*!  Time to say "Bye-Bye" Early FAll Vignette & onto ViNtaGe HaLLoween!*!*!  Here are a few pics of how I displayed my collection of ViNtaGe Gurley Halloween Candles in years prior ~ ThE BeSt!*!*!  Watch for pics later in the week to see what develops THIS YEAR...

I've been collecting these ViNtaGe Gurley Candles for many years...  I believe they first came out  around the 1940's...  I only collect the ones that have the original cardboard on the bottom with price sticker...

 

 

 

 This was my display LAST YEAR...  The cabinet was from the RED CHAIR ANTIQUES, in Peterborough, New Hampshire...

 

 

 

 Close-Up...  At one time I had seen the Witch w/Cauldron (in the center) - go for over $100. on Ebay...  I was lucky enough to find mine for $5.00 @ a Flea Market, in the original box...  This particular one is not as old as the others...

 

 

 

I popped-in (middle center) a very fragile vintage paper mache tree that I dearly love...

 

And lastly...  Sometime this week - It's "Bye-Bye" Early Fall Vignette...  This is my MOST FaVoRiTe Vignette I've recently done...  Time for more creations with Blogger InSpiRaTioN!*!*!

**Country Living Fair ~ CHICAGO 2006**

In the Fall of 2006, Country Living hosted their Fall Fair in Chicago, at the Botanic Gardens, -Glencoe, Illinois...  Living just a shy 2 hours from that location ~ I most certainly was not going to miss this event!!!  The attendance was overwhelming ~ crowded beyond belief...  This event is now hosted in both OHIO & GEORGIA ...

Just Fab Vignettes...

I remember not knowing what to expect...  It felt like shopping a good FLEA MARKET!*!*!

Fall decor abounded...

This is a FaVoRiTe Display that I now put my own twist to ~ using summer's hanging planters...

"Just FaB" - Idea...  Works as well with Christmas Greens and Ornaments...

This is what I came home with & enjoyed for years...

**BeSt FIRST DAY** ~ Selling ChiPPy!-SHaBBy! Style...

Today was actually MY FIRST FULL DAY adjusting to "jobless in Cedarburg"...  AND what a Great Day It Was!*!*!  My ChiPPy!-SHaBBy! -  NOW, FULL-TIME BUSINESS, really took off!!!  I had numerous follow-up emails to "see" if this and that was still available from Saturday's Show in Germantown. Some ladies made an appointment to "shop-the-garage"... & had an inquiry of a ChaNdeLier...  OMG!!!  ~ Off to an AwEsoMe Start I'd say!!!  Thank Goodness!*!*!

  If you're looking for a particular item ~ just let me know... I might just have that "PeRfeCt ViNtaGe Find" you're looking for!*!*!  A Lady who Shopped-My-Booth in Germantown on Saturday did just that - & I had Just The Perfect Shabby Item she had been looking for...

I sooo enjoyed my "First Day"...  I got up early... baked cranberry-apple muffins... worked in the garage (I so do need to get organized)... & even had time for coffee with my Dearest Friend, Lin...  So Far - So Good...

**ChiPPy!-SHaBBy!** SaTurDaY's Show - Germantown, Wisconsin...

I arrived at the Germantown Show Saturday Morning around 5:15 a.m.  ~ I was the only one there...  Properly "Geared-Up" -  I used my car headlights to unload in the middle of a major lightening/thunderstorm - OMG!*!*!  Thank goodness I had a great spot under a well sheltered "Front Porch"!!!  Before long others started arriving & the storm had stopped for the most part...

I had a great location with lots of road side exposure...

This was an incredible chippy basket I had brought to sell!*!*! - and indeed it did - SOLD!!!

I'm actually glad my architectural ventilator did not sell...  It's such a perfect size - not too big!!!  I'm going to display it in our entry vignette this Christmas...  Can't you just see it's inside center loaded with lights ~ and it's base setting on greens accented with ornaments!*!*!

I loved this "fall-themed" BiRd FeeDeR - SOLD!!!

 

 With a slow-paced selling day, I was able to talk with quite a few customers...   I enoyed talking to Michelle for quite a long time...

 THE BeSt surprise of the day was a visit from "ANGIE of Viva la Cottage", in Door County!!!  Bless her heart - She definitely brought some sunshine to my booth!*!*!  AND we got to chit-chat for quite a while...  YOU must put her store, VIVA LA COTTAGE, on your Must Visit List!!! It reminds me of a "little Anthropologie" - "Just FaB DiSpLays"!!!

Is That Squirrel adorable or what!!!  He would look sooooo PeRfeCt by a front door...   Unfortunately he went home with me...  The birdcage sporting an OWL-On-Branch, along with the hanging planter SOLD!!!

Mary & her Mom came from Manitowoc, just to shop my SHaBBy Booth!!! ~  Mary only buys what she definitely has a plan for - and what a good eye she has!!!  Her Mom, Kathy has such great display ideas!!!  Thank you Ladies for all your support...

This darling birdbath stand of sort will also look great adorned with Christmas Greens & ornaments - inside or out...  SOLD!!!

I snapped "JunkinJulie's" first SaLe of The Day - the Bird Cage she had blogged about...  It was nice to be able to chat with Julie off and on all day... I did come away with a couple finds from her booth.  I have bought from Julie for many years...  One of her booth spaces is in Plymouth, Wisconsin - @ the Red Rooster...

Even though the show was a bit off due to the rainy weather, I ended up doing - "OK"...   It's a very small show, so the crowd it draws is "iffy"...  I thank each and every one of you bloggers who came out just to shop my ChiPPy!-SHaBBy! booth!*!*!  I'm going to keep plugging away no matter what!!!  Thanks soooo much for all your support...
