Blumen Gardens-Sycamore IL ANTIQUE GARDEN SHOW...

Blumen Gardens in Sycamore, Illinois is a "must visit" - if you happen to be in the area!*!*!  It's nested in the center of a residential district - you'd NEVER know it's there!  The backdrop is just AwEsoMe ~ authentic old buildings ~ lots of "crusty-rusty-time worn patina - LoVe It!!!  This is the 3rd Year I attend the Antique Garden Show.   It is held in an area that is rented for events - inside one of their buildings...  The show is quite small, but in years prior, I have always come away with a FaBuLous Find...  Last year was my FaVorite - I bought up a storm - vintage tole and architectural salvage...  HOWEVER - this years show may have me "crossing it off the list"...   The date was changed from their usual 3rd week in April to the last week - now conflicting with the Kane County Flea Market...  Quite a few of the dealers I  had hoped to have been there were not... I was in and out in 20 minutes ~ no kidding...  I had sticker shock for what was there... Besides that, their entry fee got bumped up a dollar and the room was sooo dark - they needed more lighting...  I felt bad for the dealers...  This year's show just didn't do it for me...  Should I give them another try next year???

Is this delightful or what!!!

This was a Fabulous Watering Can ~ but not at $110. OMG!*!*!
Yes, it does have fab original time-worn patina, but the form is common - no exceptional rose head either...  Sorry dealer...

It was a nice surprise to see Lisa B. @ the Show!  Here she displayed vintage flower frogs & pots with her "signature look"...

 More of "Lisa's Look"...

We stopped at this darling retro outdoor roadside stand!*!*! "DAIRY DOGS" - THE BEST FRENCH FRIES!!!!!!!!!  I think they were hand cut & peeled...

My friend Terry, and her husband, own "Daddio's Diner" in Batavia, Illinois...  The downtown area of Batavia was hosting a special "GREEN WALK" Evening...  Normally Daddio's is not open on Friday Evenings - more of Breakfast Spot...  I  helped out and "waitressed" for a few hours that evening!!!  We had fun!!!

Green Walk's featured winner at the Diner!!!
This darling little gal made her outfit out of "RECYCLED NEWSPAPER PLASTIC BAGS" ~ ALONG WITH SOME DRY CLEANER BAGS...  Just Darling!!!

Here's Terry's daughter, Kristi... ~ She's a real GEM!*!*!  What a GREAT helper as we cleaned up at the Diner...

TOMORROW ~ KANE COUNTY FLEA MARKET PICS!*!*!
