I love hints of flowers on vintage items ~ especially the "Barbola Swag" on the basket... Both the swag and basket could have been a lot more "SHaBBy for me"...

ReplyDeleteMy grandmother (Busia) always embroidered flowers & birds on the edges of her pillow cases. I did her ironing on Saturday mornings and loved ironing her pillow cases. I can remember watching her embroider so beautifully with her old hands. And then she would crochet a delicate border along the very edge ~ all the way around the opening. Once she embroidered my big orange cat onto a pillow case for me and stitched "Willie" beneath it. I wish I still had that pillow case. Amy
