My Most FaVoRite ViNTaGe Basket

adorned with a Barbola BiRd & FLoWeR Garland...

What is ViNtAge "Barbola" ???
Instead of using carved wood pieces ~ a plaster/glue mixture know as "gesso" was used to form flower garlands and small decorative objects ~ mostly affixed to baskets, picture frames, & mirrors...  Genuine piece almost always have missing pieces and most certainly line cracks due to the the shrinkage nature of the  the material...
