Shows/SaLes...  - It REALLY IS just around the corner!*!*!

1st Day of S*P*R*I*N*G - Think ViNtaGe GARDEN!*!*!

Here in the Midwest we STILL have a good amount of "frozen snow" on the ground with temperatures in the teens - OMG!*!*!  Until I have my "first sighting" of an outdoor garden hose ~ I'll cherish my ViNtaGe Garden Collectibles even more ~ with faith & hope that Spring is indeed around the corner...

Just FaB ChiPPy!-SHaBBy! ShoPPing - This Past Weekend - ST. LOUIS...

Each year around this time we make our annual SpringTime trek to St. Louis for an Antique Bottle Show - "squeezing-in" a bit of ChiPPy!-SHaBBy! ShoPPing!*!*!  Although WINTER is almost over according to the calendar - it most certainly WAS NOT in St. Louis THIS YEAR as well as here in Wisconsin...   No Spring Jacket... No Sun... Next to none Daffodils...

  I netted some "key-pieces" that I'll be adding to my "SHaBBy S*A*L*E Stash" for the 1st Monthly ChiPPy!-SHaBBy! SaLe of the *2013 Season* - AT-OUR-HOME, here in Historic Cedarburg, Wisconsin,  SATURDAY, APRIL 27th...... **AND*** The Na-Da Farm S*A*L*E  EVENT at Anne Marie's, in Esmond, Illinois on MAY 17th & 18th...

Did Not Stop SHaBBy-ShoPPing!*!*!

If you look REAL CLOSE - 

You can get a glimpse of the Iconic Arch

 We did a lot of different things on this visit ~

one of them was driving around various neighborhoods...

I LoVe looking at Big Old Houses...

ONLY in this neighborhood

 was the grass ever so slightly greening...

 Besides our regular "Antique Stops"

we extended our **Hunt** to the numerous

Re-SaLe Shops that had "popped-up"...

Some of them were just AwEsoMe

with great finds & displays as well...

 This ViNtaGe Round Metal Container had a

 FaB Look, including functional divider/compartments inside,

but the "price point" was just too high for resale...

 For me - this SHaBBy Cabinet was just

NOT ChiPPy in all the right places...

But it definitely had a look!!!  

Perhaps a wreath affixed to the door

 would help with an easement...

 This was my FaVoRiTe Booth in a

Really Fun Junker ReSaLe Shop!*!*!

I LoVeD  this Place and would definitely shop it on a weekly basis - for the thrill of the hunt ~ NEVER KNOWING what you might find digging through this and that!*!*!

 LoVeD these smaller-sized corbels -

but had to pass ~ they weren't WHITE...

 All B*L*I*N*G that I spotted on

the trip was soooo insanely expensive...

  It made me realize how reasonably priced

 my chandeliers are and will continue to be...

This Antique Store's WINDOW DISPLAY

was bursting with **ViNtaGe Easter**

 Although I'm not a big fan of  

**Contrived SHaBBies** I just had to stop in this Store!!!

Sooooo Glad I did!*!*!  The smell was heavenly ~ and all their reproductions were top of the line... InViTing Displays inside as well...

  With my ANTIQUE BOTTLE SELLING STOCK extremely low ~ I was able to re-plenish it with some interesting ViNtaGe F*I*N*D*S netted at the Bottle Show...

We brought these two bottles to the show, but they

 are still looking for a good home!*!*!

Demijohns were more commonly found

 encased in "Old Wicker"...

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!*!*!

Such was the case when I netted this darling FRAMED ViNtaGe French Bird/Nest Print ~ along with an

 Old French Bread Basket...

I just LoVe the Old FRAME'S ImPeRfeCtiOns!*!*!

The "broken-off" corners add such character to the piece - validating it as a **One-Of-A-Kind*Find**

The ViNTaGe Basket has also seen better days...
I LoVe it's unique "time~worn" tattered look...

FaB Turn Out @ Grayslake Flea - this past weekend...

Dreary Weather ~ No Sun & Intermittent Rain...

 - THIS PAST WEEKEND, did not stop shoppers from attending The GRAYSLAKE ANTIQUE/FLEA MARKET held at the Lake County Fairgrounds in Illinois... 

Here's what developed in my 

ChiPPy!-SHaBBy! Booth Space...

Although the foot traffic was there,

I SOLD mostly "Smalls"...

Larger Pieces & Furniture were just not moving in my booth...

Old Bottles...

I came across yet another

 PeRfeCtLy ChiPPy St. Theresa Religious Statue...  This smaller-size version with Metal Marker Plate "Flower of Jesus"- Sold Right Away - as did the Time~Worn "Holy Bible Book Cover"... 

A Hint of ViNTaGe Garden...

Mid-Day Saturday...

But No One took it home...
