I have been collecting "ViNtaGe Garden" items near 30 years now...  It started out with "WATERING CANS" - when I lived in the Nevada Desert, of all places!!!  I soon "branched-out" to other areas of ViNtaGe Garden Collectibles:  Sprinklers, Seed Packets, Seed Boxes, Garden Tools, Clay Pots, Trellis Stands, Fence Fragments, Metal Containers, Florist Baskets, Advertising Ephemera, Hardware Store Garden Tool Displays, Flower Frogs,& Seed Jars  ...  Especially at this time of year ~ I pay special attention to my "smaller-sized" watering cans... 

 I recently took this photo on my Boulder City, Nevada trip ...  As you can see on this Fence, the Desert Sun makes for a GREAT Time~Worn PaTiNa

 This PeRfeCtLy SHaBBy Time-Worn ViNtaGe Iron Flower is one of my Most Cherished Items!!!  I actually had (2) flower vines - but was Out-Of-My-Mind and SOLD the other...

Check out the small vintage watering can nested at it's base...

 I have these extra special smaller cans displayed on architectural fragments in my office/loft area...

These days, a watering can has to be pretty special for me to add it to my collection...  This time-worn beauty was just that - added it THIS YEAR... ~ AwEsoMe Find in Door County, Wisconsin!!!  I just love the ORIGINAL Old Mustard-Colored Paint and it's time-worn patina!!!

This little watering can with flower decal is nice and chippy!!!  I love it's funky "hand made" appeal, and COLOR!!!  The watering can on the right is definitely One-Of-A-Kind, with it's triple stacked color bands...

I'M THINKING SpRiNg!*!*!

**ChiPPy!-SHaBBy!** Candelabra Bling & Tri-MIrrors!*!*!

Yesterday Jeff & I spent the day antiquing...  Let me tell you ~ NO SUN & WET/SLEET-LIKE SNOW MIX made even antiquing HARD TO ENJOY!!!  There's definitely something to be said for SUN... By days end, I did net a good number of Finds - but we ended up canceling our last stop - we both wanted to GO HOME...  My Finds are yet to be unwrapped...  We woke up to SNOW this morning - MORE coming later today & tonite!!! ~ OMG!!!  In the meantime, enjoy "Some Sparkling Bling" from SaLes Past!!!  - Things to look for come Spring!!!

 Although the Tri-Mirror and girandole candelabras are "long-gone" - I enjoy visiting this photo every so often...

 These candelabras were true beauties with garlands of old prisms & star burst flowers near the top...

 I LoVe OLD darkened wires on prims...

 Center Stamens like this "unscrew" from the flower...  Many a time you'll find them missing...

 I passed up a reasonably-priced Tri-Mirror yesterday, only because it did not have "Etching"...

My Love with Tri-Mirrors:  Silver-Loss Patina, Chippy Frame, & Etching Design are a must... 

 This was yet another true beauty - the candle holders were made of wood...  I just recently SOLD the architectural piece with garlands at the last Grayslake Antique Flea Market in Illinois a couple weeks ago...

 Door County is sooooo special!!!  and so is Angie's Store!!!  It reminds me of Anthropologie!!!  Although the show is small, it has quality dealers such as myself...  It's traditionally held the SATURDAY AFTER 4th of July...  One day only...  Make a weekend of it ~ Shop Door County!!!

**ChiPPy!-SHaBBy!** Vists Gina's BeSt-Ever SHaBBy Cottage House in Nevada!*!*!

I've  lived a good part of my life "Out-West"... & Boulder City, Nevada, was one of those places...  With family and friends still living in Boulder City, I try to visit this quaint historic town as often as possible...  ONE of the BeSt spontaneous SURPRISES of this past Weekend was a Tour of GINA PECK'S Home in Boulder City!*!*! 

FOR YEARS I've walked past this house and wondered "who lived there"... & "what it might look like inside"...  Just imagine how wonderful this SHaBBy-Style Cottage looks when the bare winter branches start filling-in with Springtime blossoms!!!  At one time I remember Gina's "double front doors" being painted a deep aqua blue...    

There's nothing more inviting than ~ glistening chandeliers hanging OUTSIDE, and Gina most certainly has that along with her chippy garden chairs, tables, statues, crates, & seltzer bottles...

My friend Kathy, who lives just a few doors down from Gina, made this "EXTRA-SPECIAL" SHaBBy House Tour, possible!!!  THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH KATHY!*!*!   It was just "jaw-dropping" when I got a glimpse of what AmaZiNg SHaBBies were awaiting inside!*!*! 

OMG!*!*!  TOTAL SHaBBy-WHiTe Out!*!*!

  Definitely ENLARGE THIS PHOTO!!!  Is this room to die for or what!!!  A girl after my own heart!!!  Tons of Sparkling lit Chandeliers... Old Mirrors with silver-loss patina... Old Doors & Windows...  EVERYTHING in creamy shades of white!!!   This was my "most-favorite" area...  I just loved the salvaged doors/windows in the background and how Gina painted only this background area a very light green...  

The Window, Chandelier and Sconce were a PeRfeCt Scale for the space...  Upon a closer look, I loved how Gina hung smaller-sized vintage mirrors BEHIND THE LARGE WINDOW!!!  It gave the area a unique look...   Most of Gina's Shabbies have a natural time-worn chippy white paint patina ...  The ViNtaGe items that were "shabby-painted" had great form & blended exceptionally well...

 The Chandeliers hanging against the the old exposed brick in the kitchen area, were just "breath-taking"!*!*!  All these different textures worked sooooo well together!!!  She had a mix of ViNtaGe chandeliers - white and original darker brass with a patina...

Gina's use of VARIOUS SHADES-OF-WHITE, TEXTURES, SPARKLING CHANDELIERS, MIRRORS, ARCHITECTURAL SALVAGE, Along with her EXCEPTIONAL EYE FOR VINTAGE FINDS & DESIGN - make for The BeSt-Ever Look!!! 

  I am soooo inspired!!!  

 Gina shops the ROSE BOWL, & VENTURA FLEA MARKETS in California, for a good number of her SHaBBies!!!  As I guessed, it's still hard to find an abundance of vintage shabby finds in this area of the country...

 

I was thrilled to get a tour of her cottage home & and let me tell you ~ there are a ton more pics I could have taken!!!  Maybe next time????  I'd say this is definitely Magazine EYE-CANDY Material!!!  Gina's house reflects her sparkling, friendly personality as well...  I soooo enjoyed the tour & chit-chat!!!

ChiPPy!-SHaBBy! Shops "2 SHaBBy LaDieS BOOTH" Boulder City, NV

One of the FIRST Stops I always make when visiting Boulder City, Nevada, is GOAT FEATHERS EMPORIUM, located in the downtown historic district...   My FaVoriTe Shabby Booth Display was loaded with lots of white and sparkling chandeliers ~ of course!!!  After some emails/phone calls I was able to meet with one of the 2 ladies who share this booth space...   Nancie & MaryAnn call themselves "2 Shabby Ladies"...  I soooo enjoyed meeting Nancie...   Do click on the Goat Feathers link above to see some pics of their space in years past...  Check out their OUTDOOR SET-UP when Boulder City hosts their annual ART-IN-THE-PARK Event in the Fall!!! (click on pics to enlarge...)

 The ceilings are quite tall at Goat Feathers Emporium, allowing these "2 Shabby Ladies" to make the most of their displays!!!  Chandeliers were hanging everywhere in their space!*!*!

 These old shabby-painted doors not only look fab ~ but act as a perfect divider to define their space...  I just loved the barbola trim surrounding the center...  YES, there was a price tag on them this time...  And - Let me tell you - I was quite tempted!!!

I sooo enjoyed our chit-chat!!!  Unfortunately MaryAnn was not available to meet that day...

There are a few other antique stores in Boulder City, so it's well worth the drive...  Antique Depot had a good amount of SHaBBies ~ but the prices were high...

This grouping of inviting vintage finds lined the sidewalk in front of the Antique Depot...

Even though the weather in Boulder City was a bit on the cool side,  signs of SPRING were everywhere!!!  Loved these beautiful white flower blossoms!!!

**ChiPPy!-SHaBBy! ** BiRthDaY Weekend SHaBBy Sightings!*!*!

OMG!*!*! ~ WHERE do I begin????????  It all started with "Frog Husband" whisking us away to BOULDER CITY, NEVADA,  to celebrate my BiRthDaY Weekend with Family and Friends...  We weren't there but a couple hours and I had my "FIRST SHABBY-SIGHTING"!!!

 No matter what part of the country I'm in ~ NOTHING stops me from buying a "PeRfeCtly-CHiPPy" piece of furniture!!!

 I stopped dead-in-my-tracks when I caught a glimpse of this shabby "french-like" bench/table/stool!!!  It had such Great Form!!!

There was NO-WAY, I wasn't going home without it!!!  We hit the "Recycle-Cardboard" Dumpsters shortly after, and found the perfect-sized box to ship it!!!

I netted this AwEsOme Find at "Goat Feathers Emporium" in Boulder City, Nevada...   The people were sooooo nice - lending a hand with "extra packing peanuts" for us...

 

 We had a lovely suite at the Historic Boulder Dam Hotel, in the downtown area of Boulder City...  I highly recommend the hotel for it's friendly helpful staff, clean rooms, & tasty breakfast/lunches...

We arrived home to the start of yet ANOTHER WINTER STORM!!!  It now looks like a "snow-globe" out there!!!

The weekend weather was "just fab" for FLEA MARKET SHOPPING!*!*!   There was a good crowd waiting when the doors opened on Saturday Morning at 10 o'clock...  Although my booth never got mobbed like last month ~ I had a steady flow of "SHaBBy-SHoPPers" almost all day, Saturday... Sunday's Sales yielded less shoppers, but higher ticket items...  Overall, I was very happy with my SHaBBy SaLes!*!*!  THanK YOU ~ to ALL of those who came out to support us Dealers at the Grayslake, Illinois Flea Market...

 It was a last minute decision to toss in the Folding Garden Chair...  Glad I did ~ it fit in nicely with the display and SOLD along with the pretty floral 50's towel, and clippers...

  

 White is soooooo hot for SPRING this year!!! EVERYTHING looked so fresh and spring-like in my booth...

 

The GoRgeOuS ViNtaGe Pansy litho print Sold on Saturday...  The colors were still nice and vibrant and the frame nice and chippy!!!  The birdcage, oil painting, and tole bird candle holder also SOLD...

 Shabby Shoppers "visualizing" where this and that might display in their homes...

 This "shabby-painted" Mirror with "etching" ~ was Absolutely GoRgeOuS!!!

I still have the white box with rusty hardware, chippy metal stool with patina, and champagne urn...

I had a little "Garden Area" backed by a fence and architectural window frame...  Both are still available...  As you can see, LOTS of other items SOLD!!!
