**Girlfriend Get-Away Weekend** - Boulder City Nevada...

OMG!*!*!  Only a few hours away till I board the plane!!!  My darling Cousin, Amy sent me a plane ticket for a "girlfriend" weekend - to Boulder City Nevada, where I lived for many years... It will be soooooo wonderful to SEE many an old friend & catch up!*!*!   

The Weekend starts off with a Garden Party... Wait till you SEE the pics come early next week!!! ~ Sally's Cottage House is a SHaBBy "WHITE OUT"...

More ViSitiNg at a CABI PaRty Amy will be hosting at the Historic Boulder City Theater...  I most certainly packed my "MARY FRANCES" Handbag for this!!!

Amy warned me it's HOT - 113 degrees... I won't even know I'm having a "Hot-Flash" with temperatures like that!!!

**ChiPPy!-SHaBBy!** HORSE COLLECTIBLES...

Recently I was drawn to a few "ChiPPy" Vintage HORSE COLLECTIBLES...  I picked them up on our recent Ohio Road Trip...  THEN - TO MY SURPRISE, the current September 2010 Issue of Country Living Magazine had "quite a spread" on these Collectible Vintage Horse Items!!! - OMG!*!*! Here are a couple items I've found - soon to be for sale at one of my upcoming outdoor markets...  (click to enlarge)

I love "ephemera"...  I like tucking little trade cards like this in vignettes...  - They display well propped up in small flower frogs...

Country Living Magazine Article - Sept. 2010

OK ~ Here's the real deal...  Jeff & I went for a hike on Sunday in the State Park...  These horses were at a Historical Site we also visited just outside the park...

Fall is In-the-Air...

Last night we finally slept with the air conditioning OFF and the Windows Open!*!*!  Nature's wonders are beginning to Show a small "Sneak Peek" of Their Colors - AND Wisconsin most certainly has them!!!

On Sunday I picked up these GoRgeOus "Chinese Lanterns" - YES, they are real - freshly harvested!!!  The shape and colors are just AmaZinG!!!

The wire basket & rusty white tin will be available Labor Day weekend @ my ChiPPy!-SHaBBy! Booth - Cedarburg's Maxwell Street Flea Market (see sidebar for details)...

A hint of Fall Color is peeking out...

**ChiPPy!-SHaBBy! - Saturday's ViNtaGe SaLe** - Cedarburg, WI

Where was EVERYONE this past SaTurDay?????  I had such GREAT drive-by exposure, - positioning my Tent at the mouth of our driveway...   HOWEVER - our usual road traffic was SLIM!!!  I put an AD in the paper...  Advertised on my Blog...  Had Fab Signs at the corner... I even had quite a few prices as low as $4.-$6.- Sometimes there were lulls of more than 45 minutes when no one even stopped...  I did however make some Great New CUSTOMERS & lots of chit-chat I otherwise would not have enjoyed!!!    Oddly enough most of the sales were things I've had a long time...  All and All - by days end I was still pleased with the Sales I did make...  (click to enlarge)

Sweet Treats!*!*!  

I usually go "all out" and have coffee along with a sweet treat...  I only sold 2 pieces of lemon tea bread...   and the Coffee Pumps were nearly full by days end...

OMG!*!*!  - I'd say things were just a bit "off" on Saturday...

NEXT SALE - at Cedarburg's Maxwell Street Flea Market at Firemen's Park Fairgrounds, Labor Day Weekend.  (See Sidebar for details)...

I'm not giving up...  I will have a few more monthly "RoadSide Sales" at the house this year...  It was just an odd weekend with last minute vacations before the kids go back to school & the weather didn't help any - being extremely HOT & HUMID...  

Many thanks to my friend SANDY who got there early to help me set up!!!! & of course my "Frog Husband"...  & those of you who did come out even if it was just to "say hellooooo"...   Jeanine

This past Saturday I held A Small Roadside Sale!*!*! - ONE TENT - ONE DAY...  Oddly enough, drive-by traffic was SLIM...  However, at days end - it was well worth ALL MY EFFORTS!!! - Thank Goodness...  More pics along with the day's chit-chat - come Monday...

It's just a GoRgeOuS Sunday here - the humidity finally lifted... We're Out-And-About to enjoy the rest of this Day!!!

**ThiNkiNg Early FALL ADORNMENTS**

I've only seen a few leaves beginning to turn in our area...  I've noticed the squirrels "going nuts"...  My hydrangeas are ready to be cut & hung to dry...  FALL is just around the corner along with many an "Indian Summer" day to come...  I just LoVe adorning vintage pieces with Nature's Bounty!*!*!

Sometime over the weekend I hope to work on my seasonal entry vignette for Early Fall...  Check back to SEE what develops this year...

Not sure if the bittersweet is ready to harvest just yet...  I may wait till LATE AUGUST for these...

I just LoVe these apple-green wonders of nature!!!  I'll be picking up my stock of these on my next trip to Illinois...
