**4th of July** signals that summer is in FULL SWING!*!*!  Vacations...   Weekend road trips...  Flea Markets...  Picnics by the lake... Outdoor BBQ's...   Screened-in porch... I mixed-in a bit of "summer seaside" with the red-white-blue...

The tin-picnic basket on the top is a rare find!!!  I just love the retro "Orchard Beverage" soda pop bottle...

The vintage crank of sort with stars was a New York find many many years ago...  I packed it full with the darling vintage flags that are made of some type of stiff gauze material... The vintage post card is just Fab!!!  The chippy wooden "Lobster Float" is to die-4!*!*!

The Red-White-Blue Stars hung on the Vintage Lobster Trap are actually vintage Christmas ornaments...  The fish net is old too...

OMG!!! ~ extremely RARE FIND ~ ViNtaGe 1950's Lobster Tablecloth!*!*!   I'll NEVER part with this AwEsoMe Find!!!

***Elhorn Wisconsin Flea Market ~ June 2010***

Due to early morning rain drops... ~  I decided not to do an "early-buy-in" AND opted to "ride with my husband"...  - That's right, it means taking only ONE CAR... OMG!!! - Was I thinking clearly or what???  The weather was DRY upon arrival at 7 am...  It only rained for a total of 45 minutes during the entire flea market day...   Lots of "dark-cloud" sky watching chased many a dealer away with early pack-up...  Jeff and I stayed till 2 p.m.  We stuffed the car full ~ one cabinet is being delivered!!!   Overall, it was a good buying day...   (click on pics to enlarge)

This was "the sweetest" small find of the day for me...  I think the clock will be just adorable displayed in An Old SHaBBy Wood/Glass Display Cabinet I just recently won on Ebay!*!*!  OMG...  This FiNd was one of Judy's Items - "Iowa Junk Gypsies"...

Cedarburg's Plein-Air Paintings!*!*!

Our little town has been "A Buzzzzz" with Artists for about a week now... ~ Our Annual Strawberry Festival - this upcoming weekend, hosts a PLEIN-AIR PAINTING CONTEST/SALE... The paintings are available for viewing/sale at the Cedarburg Cultural Center...

  This Artist was using "chalks"...  Others I've seen were oils...  watercolors...

This Artist was almost done... 

I just loved her little "set-up"...  What a darling vintage painting easel...  Cedarburg has a lot of "old stone buldings" - 1853...  The background settings for these Artist's is AwEsoMe!!!

In the background you can see the old stone buildings at the Cedar Creek Settlement...  It now houses the Anvil Restaurant...

**BeSt STORE FRONT** ~ Cedarburg Wisconsin...

As long as I have lived in Cedarburg, I have always LoVed this building!*!*!  It has housed many a shop from restaurant... antique shop... and now ~ HAIR SALON...  They repeatedly have a *****5-Star***** Window as far as I'm concerned!!!  "Clementine Hair Salon"

Is this window refreshing or what!!!  A sneak-peek inside reveals chairs painted  "shabby-white" and a hint of those funky apple green ones!!!

I am sooooo inspired by the OUTSIDE BUILDING COLORS!*!*!  I just love the grey mixed with the burnt orange front door...  I wouldn't tweak the color one bit...

FaB "Old-SHaBBy" MiRRor!*!*! ~ It's Up!!!

Staying home this weekend enabled us to get quite a few things done around the house...  Some of you might remember pics of  ***My AwEsoMe Mirror Find*** from the Kane County Flea Market in Illinois, this past May...   Well, that 2-die-4 GoRgeOuS Beauty is NOW HUNG in my bathroom!!!  It looks just as Fab as I had envisioned!!!   I had been shopping for "just the right one" for almost 3 years!*!*!  (click on pics to enlarge for better detail...

  AmaZinG Ornate Top Crest Details...

I Love the hints of time~worn "silver loss patina"...  It lends sooooo much character to the piece...  I don't think I could buy a vintage mirror without it!

The ornate details are made of GESSO ~ a plaster of sort...  It has taken on many a hairline crackling ~ YES!!!   The old white paint, hairline crackling, & subtle chips here and there add soooo much unique vintage charm to this piece!*!*!

This ViNtaGe Mirror is hung on a wall adjacent to my large soaking tub...  I LOVE MY TUB!!!  A Chandelier hangs above...  and I have a couple Seashell Candelabras surrounding the area...  We're lucky enough to have outdoor privacy ~ allowing the shutters to be open during the day...

 Here I am at Kane County ~ just minutes after I netted my AwEsoMe Find!!!  I'm sooooo glad I forked-out the extra bucks for this one!!!  

On Another Note...  "REGRETS-LATER"...   You know how sometimes you get home and are sooooo sorry you didn't purchase a certain vintage find????  - Because you've now found the perfect spot for it in your home??? ~ Well, a good number of you have emailed me to see if an item from one of my most recent sales is still available.... I'VE BEEN SELLING QUITE A FEW PIECES This Way!!!  If you're local, I'm happy to hold it for you till you can come by...  -OR- make an appointment to Shop The Garage!!!  I'm also **Willing-To-Ship** smaller-sized items to those of you who live afar!!!  My EMAIL is on the sidebar...  LoVe to hear from YOU!*!*!       

FaBuLouS "Old-SHaBBy"!*!*!

I'm finally getting back on track after 3 weekends in a row of Outdoor Shows!!!  I've opted to stay home this weekend to work on organizing our garage and outdoor living space - it's killing me now!!! ~ What AwEsoMe ViNtaGe FiNds am I missing out on???  ~ After all, the Bloomington Illinois Flea Market is happening this weekend!!!   Oh well...  I have lots of Fab Outings coming up in the next few weeks!!! 

BeSt Summer Find!*!*!   ***2-die-4*** crusty... rusty... URN with THE BeSt Crackly Old White Paint!!!  It's "3" pieces so I can easily store it in the house/garage over the winter, to preserve it's incredible time-worn patina...  Or better yet ~ possibly use it in a vignette during the holidays...

The Old White Paint has taken on a FaBuLouS Crackly Patina!!!  OMG!!!
