Antique Stops !*!*! ~ WI & MN...

Here are some pics from our Wisconsin/Minnesota Antique Trip about a month ago...

Loved all the "White & Chippy"!!!

Huge Flea Market in this Minnesota town...  I love when we run into towns with funky towers like this!!!  There is one - I think in Illinois,  that is a ketchup bottle!*!*!

You REALLY had to hunt in store!!!  I ended up finding some FaBuLouS Shabbies for my upcoming summer SaLes...

The "SKUNK" family - OMG!!!  I soooo wish they had been CHIPPY!!!

This booth was very inviting...  Lots of "go-with" items/adornments...

This was a wonderfully chippy watering can...  It's hard to find "smaller-sized" ones...  Unfortunately, the price was too high for me to re-sell and it did not have a rose sprinkling head...  It's not often you find yellow ones either...  I will be selling a select number of WATERING CANS from my personal collection at my summer sales...

OK ~ I just had to throw "Some Bling In"!*!*!
French Chandelier ~ priced at over $5,000

Anthropologie Display Ideas!*!*!

I've been holding out on you!!!  Here are a few FaB DisPlaY Ideas from my visit to the Anthropologie Store in Edina, Minnesota, a few weeks ago...  I was sooooooo inspired!!!  My two favorite Anthro Stores for display ideas are this one in Edina, Minnesota and the Highland Park Store in the Chicago land suburbs...

If you've never been ~ You definitely need to put this on your "must visit" list!*!*!
ALL the Anthropologie Stores have these AwEsoMe, over-the-top Door Hardware...  It sets the tone for your whole unique shopping experience...

I was sooooo inspired by this vignette...  It really had a funky twist to it - being inside a clothing store setting...  (click on pics to enlarge for detail)...  I was inspired by this vignette & am visualizing on a  "spin-off  version" of this at the Northwind Perennial Farm Antique Garden Show,  June 11 & 12...  Check my side bar for more details... ~ It is MY FaVoRiTe Show of the entire summer!!!

This small size wall of sort helps define the area...  It was actually the back of a large hutch!  I like using old doors/screens/windows as a backdrop at my sales...  It helps one visualize what an item might look like in a space at home...

Here is an example of just a simple smaller-sized chippy screen with patina, helping define the space ~ adding character...

OMG!*!*!  These "plaster creations" were just AmAziNg!!!!!!!!
I'm hoping to try my hand at this for the SaLe at my Home, here in Cedarburg on MAY 22nd...
*** Like I really have time for this!!!!!!!!! ***

Delafield Antique Show ~ Spring 2010

Last night was opening night at the Delafield Antique Show, here in Wisconsin...  The show is quite "upscale" with many of the antiques in "mint condition"...  I rarely find any PeRfeCtly Chippy items at this show ~ a bit toooo stuffy for me...  I was not able to attend last night, but Jeff was sweet enough to take pics for me of things I might have had an interest in...  I'd like to share these with you too...  Being Early Spring, the Dealers did indeed bring some Vintage Garden to Sell...

I really liked the center arched piece of iron work...  That would look fabulous above a bed or cabinet!!! ~ endless display possibilities...    This one could have easily come home with me!!!

This too was an interesting piece...  Would look fab anchored high on a wall ~ especially with those scrolly side brackets...

Looks like these pieces were probably married together...
Very short ~ more for a tabletop...

Frost In Wisconsin!*!*! & our backyard...

YES, we woke up to Frost this morning...  Low 30's!*!*!  Living only 3 miles from Lake Michigan we get the strangest weather!!!  I envy those of you who have Lilacs Blooming...  As you can see from the pic below, we have hardly any buds on our trees...  No flowers in the garden yet...

Fog and Frost in our backyard "April 23rd"!!!!!!!

There are subtle signs of of "mallow" coming up in my little flower garden area...
Flower Gardening is a challenge for us... DEER EAT EVERYTHING!!!  We found "liquid fence" a safe and quite effective solution to get us by...

My husband enjoys many a fire while he's working in the yard...  I love looking at it from the house at night while it's burning...

Earth Day 2010... Rusty, Crusty, Chippy OLD BIKE!*!*!

In honor of "Earth Day 2010" I'll be riding my bike to work today...

Actually, this AwEsoMe Old Rusty... Crusty... has been the inspiration for THE FLYER FOR MY UPCOMING VINTAGE SALE ON MAY 22ND!*!*!
BTW...  I will be riding "another" bike to work today...

From bike number one's inspiration, came this darling drawing of a bicycle ~ now on the ChiPPy!-SHaBBy! SaLe Flyer...

What a relief...  I got all the SaLe Flyers printed yesterday!*!*!

If you're "on-the-list" - you'll be receiving your invitation by early next week!!!

Keep????? -or- Put it in the ChiPPy-SHaBBy SaLe????

Well I'm finally a good way into my "Tagging For the SaLe"!!!!!  I've been running into soooooo many people asking me about it... ~ That's a GOOD SIGN!!!  As I unpack... go though... & take things off the walls, I need to make decisions as to KEEP -or- NOT KEEP...  Inspired by a vignette from Theresa at  GARDEN ANTQS VINTAGE, I decided to keep ALL of these frames that were headed to the ChiPPy!-SHaBBy! SaLe!!!

These Frames are PeRfeCtLy ChiPPy!!!

My husband collects "lightening rod balls" & he knew I'd LoVe the Silver-Loss PaTiNa on this one!*!*!

Here's a full view of the vignette...

Next to my "RoSe Garden Sprinkler" I had pictured some time ago, this is my second most favorite ViNtaGe Garden Collectible Item I own ~ A French Seed Packet Rack that revolves!*!*!  It says:  Choice Seeds for the Seed Sower...

BTW... The smaller sized architectural pedestal base to the left, was a recent find from "JunkinJulie" when I went up to the Red Rooster's Spring Open House last month...  The piece fit in nicely...

Bird is the Word!*!*!

Sometimes the smallest of things can bring a smile...

I adore these vintage button cards!*!*!  FaBuLouS Graphics!*!*!   Perfect to tuck in a vignette...

 "BiRdiE "sticky-notes" from Pottery Barn!!!
I like being ORGANIZED!!! ~ AND ~ While getting ready for my SaLe, I sure have these "tweets" plastered everywhere!!!!!!!

Chicago Botanic Antique & Garden Fair 2010...

This year, other than "preview night" - I was unable to attend the show on it's FIRST DAY - Friday, but knew that I'd still get my eye-candy fix on Saturday...  Well let me tell you ~ the "ENERGY" was just not the same on Saturday...  I could tell very well that things were picked over and the Dealers were tired!!! Lots of concrete frogs... angels... watering cans... this year!
As you head toward the show entrance, the Botanic Gardens have this wonderful display of what's blooming on the grounds...
Everything is "1st Class" at this show!!!  UpScale white tents - you would think you're inside a building...  I was shocked at the parking fee this year -  being bumped up to $20.  on top of the Show entry fee...  I must be from Wisconsin...

The day was GoRGeOuS!!!  ~ Sunny, but very cool...   Look at these beautiful grounds...

OK!!! ~ Let's get the chippy, shabby, crusty, rusty, old vintage garden pics happening!*!*!

Take a peek in the background... See the little Birdie Perched on something FaBuLouS!
OMG!*!*! This is what I wanted to take home!!!  I LoVed It!!!  It was soooo Anthro!  Honestly, It would have worked out PeRfeCtLy in our home...  Maybe I could have talked my husband into it if he had been with me????  It was priced Over-The-Top Insanely... However - I've never seen another one like it...
Probably from a large estate...  I've often thought - "why not buy just one fabulous thing"???

I loved these chairs!!!  I could see them with some Anthro Cushions or Pillows...and a funky tole chandelier above!*!*!

I would have taken these home toooooo!  ~ Over $4,000

My FiNd!*!*!  Dealer said it was probably from the "1930's" - Folk Art Tole Piece...  I'll be mixing this in with some of my Iron Frogs!!!
