**ChiPPy!-SHaBBy!** AnTiQuE Day Trip...

The Day After Thanksgiving, we ventured out for a day of "Antiquing" in Illinois...  First Stop ~ Roscoe Antique Mall,  a little less than 2 hours from our home...   This store is a bit upscale with wonderful unique quality vintage/antique items - NO JUNK...  As a dealer, I find it hard to buy for re-sale here, with it's higher priced selling tags, but rightfully so...  We also hit a few smaller shops as we worked our way over to Ridgefield, Illinois...  This bink-of-the-eye downtown is filled with a grouping of antique stores...  It has such a quaint old-world feeling...  I especially love Country Church Antiques - lots of architectural and shabbies to be found there...  The other shop called ANTIQUES, had The BeSt Vintage Garden Display outside - all decked out in Christmas Holiday Trim - sooooo inviting!*!*!  We then stopped at Kimball & Bean, a very high-end Vintage/Architectural/Garden Delight!!!  They were having their HoLiDay Open House...  I did end up netting an awesome chippy Cherub there...

This piece was AwEsoMe!!!  Price tag was tooo high for resale, and I didn't love it enough to keep...

This old advertising piece was soooo beautiful...  I just love ViNtaGe Birdies!*!*!

This past summer up in Door County, I sold a small industrial cabinet very similar...  The patina on this one was amazing...

These vintage place card holders were just stunning...

I love shopping here!!!
Located in Ridgefield, Illinois...

Fabulous Architectural Piece!!!

AwEsoMe Chippy Cherubs...

Does this look inviting or what!*!*!
FaVoRite display of the day...

PeRfeCtly crusty patina...

**Time to Think ViNtaGe Christmas** ChiPPy!-SHaBBy! Style!*!*!

Near the end of the Christmas Season "last-year" ~ I made a decision to sell my ViNtaGe Christmas Blue Bottle Brush Collection...   I even took pictures of each and every one of the items, found a box for shipping, and planned to list the items for SaLe around this time of year on Ebay...  Well let me tell you ...  NO WAY!*!*!  I just un-boxed these "rare-beauties" ~ THEY ARE JUST STUNNING!!!   Definitely KEEPERS!!!  Parting with my Vintage Pink Collection was insane enough!!!  It takes years to acquire these "more-rare" finds...  I've linked-up with Debra of Common Ground for her ViNtaGe InSpiRaTioN Friday...  Maybe I can inspire YOU to start up a collection of something that's ViNtaGe Christmas??? - Love to SEE IT!!!  Enjoy the "EyE~CaNdY"!*!*! Sorry NOT For SaLe...  (click on pics to enlarge details...)

This one is My FaVoRiTe!*!*!  Thick Bottle Brush Branches ~ The Old Snow is Still Nice and White...  Funky 1950's

AwEsoMe!*!*!

Such Character...

"Glistening"...  The branches fold-up for easy storage...  Tips have mercury glass beads...

Made-In-Japan...  I try and buy my trees with their Original Vintage Labels...

Mixes well with a bit of "SHaBBy-BlinG"...

This tree is more on the Aqua-Blue Color - but mixes in well with other shades of vintage blue trees...

I usually don't like to add-on an embellishment - but this one just called for the vintage rhinestone pin!!!

The wood base is a bit "ShaBBy!"

I stopped dead in my tracks when I found these amazing "vintage ornaments with blue glitter on them"...  Such a PeRfeCt Go-With!*!*!

I almost let this one get away...  Thank goodness the Lady "changed her mind"!!!  I've had 3 blue wreaths over the years - soooo hard to come by-   This one is definitely a keeper now...  The snow is still nice and bright - Not Dingy...

Wonderfully ViNtaGe

Over the years I have LoVed ALL the Whimsical Thanksgiving Adornments POTTERY BARN has displayed...  I have acquired quite the collection!*!*!   THIS YEAR my Frog Husband added the BeST-Ever Turkey Gravy Bowl!*!*! ~ Can't wait to use it for the first time...  With stores now buying limited amounts of each item, it's almost like antiques - when you see it - BUY IT!!!

I love how the ladle handle becomes part of the Turkey's whimsical feather area...

I started gathering our whimsical adornments for the feast...

Here's a picture of how I make my GrAvy...
I always use the pan drippings and cook it on the stove top...

Here's my Bird from a few years ago...  I wrap my bird up "SHaBBy-Style" in several layers of cheese cloth - saturated with oil/butter...  Some 4 hours later - the AwEsoMe Reveal!*!*!  Sooooooo juicy - Love the Skin!!!

Enjoy your Thanksgiving Holiday
